We had a nice break very comfortable ,good location,very helpful friendly staff ,good food ,we just came from Oban for a we trip and will definitely be back soon

Very pleasant and friendly staff. Lovely oldie world feel. Family room was spacious. Food was excellent at breakfast and dinner. Attractive dining room. Multiple lounge areas with comfortable seating and great view. Very comfortable and good size bed.
Bearing in mind the typical Scottish weather (which we got!) the lack of a drying room was a major problem. Quirky plumbing was interesting at times, not sure if it was something we liked or disliked.

The serving staff in the Dining Room were lovely and the breakfasts were superb .
We stayed in the Colonsay twice before and remember there being a more personal feel.
Also, maybe incorrectly, remember more choice in the evening menu
The bottled soap next to the sink wasn’t working and one of the lights in the bathroom ditto. Also one of the taps in the toilet downstairs wouldn’t turn off,
It lacked the personal feel we experienced on our last two visits, For example, last time we were met at the ferry and driven to the hotel. This time, as people of eighty with heavy suitcases we had to make our own way to the hotel, although a helpful resident of Colonsay stopped and gave usalift

Location very good, good food but not local?
Toilet seat wasn't the same size as toilet so you sat on the pan before the seat. Only one light working in bathroom at of a possible six, which flashed like a disco ball and weird hole in the floor that you walk in every time you come from the side of the bed.
