Wonderful host, wonderful apartment tucked away in a quiet location

Lovely property and exactly as described. Spotlessly clean and nice welcome amenities in the fridge! Very quiet and peaceful location just a 5min drive from a fabulous beach club (in Aranella). Vanessa was great in communication and checked in on us during our stay. Would highly recommend

A beautiful week in Sicily. The villa had everything possible to make our stay enjoyable and extremely relaxing. Vanessa, the host was professional and helpful and on arrival, her son showed us around the villa with plenty of advice and guidance for our holiday in their villa. The villa and gardens were beautiful and the pool a welcome treat in the hot sun. A welcome guidebook helped us find a number of excellent restaurants in Ortigia aswell as information about the local beaches and area. Thank you Vanessa and your family and a big thank you for the delicious pasta salad. The villa was spotless and we hope to return very soon

A lovely villa – cosy, nicely decorated, with a lovely pool andgarden, and separate air-conditioning in all rooms. The villa issituated in a quiet and secure area but very convenient to get toSyracuse for a night out. Both the owners and the agent (Stephanie)are lovely and very accommodating. When you arrive there is deliciouspasta and chilled while wine as a complementary gift. We stayed fortwo weeks, so after the first week the villa and pool were cleaned andthe bedding was changed. There were no extra changes for anything (the internet and air-conditioning were free unlike in some other places), so overall excellent value and a great place.The island has also a lot to offer. Syracuse is lovely and only ashort drive from the villa (I suggest you park on the parking situatedon Via Bengasi, it’s only a short walk after that to get to the oldtown (Ortigia). I also highly recommend Noto, which is full of nicerestaurants and beautiful architecture, as well as Taormina (a bitfurther away but we combined with a visit to the volcano mountainEtna, which is also stunning and totally worth visiting). I alsorecommend a day trip to Agrigento - Valle dei Templi ("Valley of theTemples”) is an unforgettable experience of spectacular ancient Greekarchitecture (both my children aged 8 and 15 loved it). For kids, theAretusa water park is not far from the villa at all (just outsideSyracuse) and a great way to spend the day.If you like sandy beaches like us, Fontane Bianche is not far (3 Europarking for the whole day if you drive to the further end of thebeach) and the water is very clear and warm. This beach, however, gets a bit overcrowded, so we often drove a bit further to Sampieri, which is about 50 min drive but absolutely fantastic – lots of space, velvet sand, warm water, stunning dunes and views.I would love to go to Sicily again as there was much more to do, andcertainly recommend the villa – had some lovely time splashing aboutin the pool or just relaxing and having a drink on one of the sunbeds.
