Another fabulous stay at Ingleby Barn. It is our favourite spot. Baysdale is truly special, with the type of remoteness and tranquility it is not easy to find in England. This time around, we got snow, and it was a new kind of beauty in Baysdale. Every time we visit, the place seems more and more intriguing. Don't try to do the drive between Westerdale and Blakey Ridge in winter conditions though...take it from us!! A spade and help from several passers by was needed! But the lane in and out of Baysdale from Kildale was fine other than on the particularly snowy morning.

Location lovely, cottage lovely! A bit cold when we arrived but sorted out the u underfloor heating. Luckily we had brought provisions because, although it said that there would be a welcome pack, there was nothing!!

Friendly contact from staff. Excellent remote location, and directions were perfect. Underfloor heating worked well (maybe a little high when we arrived but easy to turn down), and the wood stove a welcome sight.

Beautiful location. Comfortable and cosy. Underfloor heating. Plenty of logs provided for the fire. Great location for exploring the moors. The perfect romantic getaway.
Would have liked to find a pub within walking distance but you can't have everything.
