I loved everything about this place. In the morning sitting on the deck having breakfast with the ocean view. The little sloth up in the tree, howler monkeys going about their day, ayouti mom with kid hanging around, blue frogs hopping in the garden. The owner is super friendly and knows a lot about animals and the surroundings. We did a snorkel tour and absolutely loved it.

The grounds are nice. Not as many animals as the reviews stated. Great breakfast and all staff was great!
The beach is rocky.

Very enjoyable lodge. Nice setting next to the Caribbean, with gardens that attract lots of birds. A sloth was low down in one of the trees while we were there. Comfortable beds, good breakfast, courteous staff. It's a couple kms out of town, so you want to have a vehicle. Cahuita is a quieter, more relaxed town than Puerto Viejo.
One bedroom has AC, and after running for a while it cooled off the second bedroom, but would have been nice if the second one had a screened window that could have been opened.
