great location, lovely balcony, good a/c and comfortable beds, nice to have a desk, complimentary raki, and nice people all over who own and run it!

We booked this hotel only because we had a guided gorge hike nearby the next day. After two days of rain, the hike was cancelled, and we even considered cancelling the hotel as well. That would have been a very big mistake. We had literally no expectations whatsoever. The price was only €38 per night, so honestly, what can you expect for €38? Well, quite a lot, to say the least. First of all, the host was extremely warm and welcoming. You genuinely felt welcome there from the moment you arrived. The room was pristine, with super comfortable beds and pillows, a nice big balcony, a good bathroom, and just a really pleasant atmosphere overall. There is also a taverna on the ground floor with absolutely great prices and very generous portions. Breakfast was also very good. The room has AC, although we didn’t use it because the windows have mosquito nets, so we simply kept the window open during the night. I did have to close it around 5 AM because some animal noises and the wind outside woke us up, but that’s hardly something the hotel can control. Free parking is available on-site. The closest beaches are Παραλία Αγία Ειρήνη and Katsouni Beach. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to swim there because of the weather, but we took a walk around the area and honestly, they looked like some of the nicest beaches we had seen so far. To properly judge them, though, I’d have to actually swim there. For €38 a night, this place exceeded our expectations by a huge margin. The next time we go to Crete, this place will be definitelly revisited!

There honestly wasn’t much to dislike; the only small inconvenience was some outside noise early in the morning, which meant we had to close the window.

Alloggio semplice e pulito. Punto di forza la cordialità e disponibilità del personale. Apprezzato il terrazzo con vista mare. Sotto le camere hanno un ristorante con un area esterna molto bella. Abbiamo potuto godere di colazioni squisite e pranzi e cene con cibo semplice ma delizioso. Il paese di Kerames è piccolo in mezzo alle montagne a 15 minuti dal mare. Ci è sembrato tutto fantastico proprio perché semplice e genuino!

The room was very clean and big for 2 people, because they gave us the quadruple room. It's ten minutes away from the sea but the road is a little bit difficult.

It was very noisy, which we didn't expect. The building was old thus there was no soundproofing, you could hear everything from the restaurant downstairs to all the neighbouring rooms. People were shutting the doors very loudly, banging on the walls. You could hear even the water from the flush running.
