Central Hotel Friedrichshafen

A well run family hotel. Breakfast was exceptional, run by a wonderful woman who put herself out. The staff in general were very good.

Nothing not to like

It is very good! I liked the location. I liked how small things are thought about. You can refill the water bottle. Everything is in the room. The stuff is positive and I had no problems. It suited me as a solor traveler

The pricing is too big for it. It is out of tourist season, but somehow it costs too much for this time of the year. The room is really tiny. The bed, the table, and the toilet.

The staff were so nice and super helpful. I didn’t check when I booked if it had a lift but when I contacted the hotel before arrival I asked if it would be possible to have a lower room as I would find walking up 3 flights of stairs a challenge at my age. The hotel replied saying they were very sorry but they couldn’t move me as it was fully booked. When I arrived they told me they had moved me to a lower floor and there was a staff member ready to carry my case to my room. That was super nice of them 😊 The hotel is lovely and clean. I really can’t say much negative about it.

If I had to say something negative it would be that there is no aircon, but I knew that before I arrived. There was a small but very powerful fan in my room which helped cool my room while I slept. It would have been nice to have some hot breakfast items like scrambled eggs, but there was only cold food, again not a big problem at all.

It was clean. The bathroom was nicely renovated. Coffee machine was great! Bigger mugs would have been nice.

Our room smelled of cigarette smoke even though it was a designated non-smoker room. Possibly from the ventilation in the bathroom?
