Hotel Villa Achenbach

Cleanliness of the room and all other spaces, quiet hotel, nice neighborhood. Breakfast had a good quality, although not a variety of options.

Hotel look and feel is very classic but can be really dark - literally speaking (poor lighting, very dark spaces), to the extent that it can feel inconvenient and less welcoming. Staff members were not rude, but were also not eager to help with anything beyond the bare minimum - for example during check out, we were not even asked if we needed any help with our luggage or with our transport arrangements. Due to a popular event that was happening in Dusseldorf we booked the room at a very high price, which was definitely not corresponding to the services provided.

It’s an amazing house with a unique spirit. The interior is outstanding. Breakfast - very nice. Staff - helpful.

I believe, other rooms are even more fancy looking. Our was in the attic. Sound proofenes was not very good - we could hear other person snoring at night.

A truly stunning boutique hotel! Hotel Villa Achenbach exceeded my expectations — the interior design is absolutely beautiful, with a unique Victorian/gothic-inspired style that feels like stepping into an elegant old mansion. Every detail, from the dark wood furniture to the vintage decor, creates such a cozy and immersive atmosphere. The location is great too — quiet residential area, yet still close to the city center and easy to reach by tram. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for something different from the usual chain hotels — this place has real character and charm!
