We loved staying at the Angelika Hotel on Hydra. The staff were helpful and kind. The rooms were lovely, and the location was convenient. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Breakfast was fine.Room was lovely, desk clear was very helpful when he was there. Hotel was charming, outside patio was really nice.
Desk clerk mostly was not there. Hot tub was not functional. Bedroom drawers did not close. Coffee at breakfast was not great.

Loved the facilities, the location, and the owner is absolutely wonderful.
You can’t forget to turn on the water heater at least 30 minutes before your shower. But if you forget once, you won’t do it again!

Wonderful location, very quiet and ideal for couples and people looking to unwind. Great breakfast, clean rooms and very welcoming and polite staff. 10/10

The hotel is very nice and cosy, quite close to the harbour, Breakfasts were quite the same everyday, but yogurt, honey and coffee were great.
I stayed in Athena room. Well, the room is actually underground - you cannot open the window for the night, because of cats coming in :)
Also, there was (is) a general problem with sewers in Ydra. Once I had a serious "general problem" in the bathroom. Remember not to throw the paper into the toilet!

Breakfast is served in a delightful courtyard, and the room I had, across the road from the main building, was fantastic, very spacious, clean, lots of towels, great, comfy mattress and pillows. There is also a bath which I believe bubbles up. Outside the room there were lie-down decks and the environment is pleasant enough to chill in, with cats dropping by to hang too. There is also a communal jacuzzi tub outside.
There was nothing I didn't like.

Lovely location, had a boutique feel.
Some of the staff (the cleaners, managing breakfast etc) were actually quite rude and abrasive. But the reception staff were very nice.
Also, my room was two single beds pushed together, which were also very hard and uncomfortable. I asked if this could be changed, could I switch rooms but I was told "no, you are lucky you even have a room".

The location looks really beautiful, the historic charm of the island is visible in all the rooms. The staff is incredibly nice!

The Bathroom was well furnished, room layout was good, coolness of the room (perfect temperature)

The quiet location was a plus. The staff was more than friendly and helpful. Four poster bed was lovely; two pillows from which to choose. Breakfast was quite nice and in a beautiful setting. Hot tub was great...because it wasn't hot! With the 90 plus degree days, the cool tub was a benefit!
It's a long walk with luggage. For €10 We could have gotten some help. We should have! No coffee in the room, but we managed with coffee from breakfast. The attendant gladly poured us a pot of coffee to take to our room.

The hotel is excellent. The location is convenient, you don’t need to go up for a very long time, you just climb easily up a small hill about 5-10 mins. The breakfast was very tasty and unlimited. The staff was responsive. We left the island quite late, but the stuff offered to leave our bags in the hotel lobby, go to the beach, and then offered a hotel shower and towels and to freshen up.
Maybe the hotel could provide special towels for the beach. It would be very convenient.
