Domaine de la Tortinière is a beautiful, peaceful hotel surrounded by forests, gardens, and spacious green grounds—perfect for a relaxing getaway. During our three-day, two-night stay, the staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts and dinners, and booking dinner at reception on the same day was very convenient.

Location, it’s beautiful, great chef and kitchen, nice pool
It’s lovely but if you have a Signature room on the third floor, be young and fit. I’m not so the climb is pretty severe, and stopped us using the facilities as we really didn’t want to do it more than twice. Be warned. Otherwise it’s a nice place.

The property is truly beautiful, with extensive grounds that are perfect for walking the dog. The hotel is easy to find, the room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable.
The staff in the afternoon didn’t seem particularly friendly, though to be fair, they seemed quite stressed as there was only one person managing the reception. I was also disappointed that I had contacted the hotel in advance to arrange dinner at the restaurant and was told I could dine on the terrace, but upon arrival, the restaurant was closed. After driving more than eight hours, it was quite frustrating to have to find an alternative at the last minute — not something you would expect from a four-star hotel.
