Hotel Altes Salzamt

Our room was great; spacious, comfortable and clean. The dining facilities were across from the hotel at Hotel Altes Badehaus. The staff, in particular Frau Hőhn were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Dinner was delicious and we very much enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast in the morning was a bit disappointing after having had such a lovely evening meal. There wasn't much choice, the coffee was lukewarm and the scrambled eggs were not replaced once they'd run out.

On arrival nobody answered the door for us to check in, eventually someone arrived who told us we would have to phone the owner. He told us he was in the hotel restaurant which is just over 5 mins away and he would arrive within 3 mins, he arrived in 15 minutes, with no apology whatsoever. We were quite disappointed with the non friendly attitude. The room was suitable if a little dark, but it was a pain crossing the corridor to our own private bathroom. The meals in the restaurant were excellent and the staff there were friendly and wonderful to talk to.
