The host was very nice and informative and the location was very good!
The fact that one of the bedrooms was a studio that required climbing steep stairs.

The staff were at the property to greet us and were very welcoming. A relaxing stay. The breakfast was excellent. It was a short walk into the lovely town/village centre although uphill on the way back! Good to walk off dinner. Lots of great restaurants.
Handy for visiting major historical sites and museums.
Nothing important. We weren’t sure about parking.

We can't recommend Villa Archanes enough! We visited Crete for a friends' wedding and the property provided the perfect relaxation point for us. As two women travelling together, we felt completely safe and at ease at the property. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and the pool/outdoor area perfect for sunbathing and eating outside. Archanes itself is lovely and has easy (if slightly irregular) transport to Heraklion - just be ready to walk up some hills!

the town of archanes
the apartment had coffee and filters provided, bottle of water, optional breakfast
corner room on the street was a little noisy
it was supposed to be two bedrooms but it was a mezannine, parents above children. so child night-time noise was a problem.
