This is a really good example of what an apartment can be like. Everything was done really well and clearly they had thought about what a tourist would like. Excellent, speedy communication with Helder who was a friendly and helpful host,who met us at the property on our arrival and showed us how everything operated and answered our questions. Entry is by a very easy locking system. A roomy, well equipped apartment. It included a laundry, well equipped kitchen, good sized dining table, good seating in the lounge area, and a generous sized bedroom and comfortable bed. It also had a good sized bathroom with plentiful hot water. It's location was also very good in a central part of the historic area close to a number of restaurants, cafes, and also a supermarket.

It wasn't a problem for us, but the apartment is on the first floor and unusually the lift started at the first floor so there was one level of stairs to walk up. The stairs were wide and easily climbed, and also Helder offered to take our suitcases up. There is the occasional noise from a fire/ambulance station, however wailing from emergency services is common in central city locations.

We were met at the property by a host who welcomed us warmly. They took extra time to direct us to the nearby parking which they are not affiliated with.

Great location for exploring Porto...easy to walk to most areas. Washing our clothes after 2 weeks of travel was great but they were slow to dry without a dryer . A coffee table would be nice by the sofa. Also we recommend towel bars in the bathroom. We were cold and could not get the temperature above 31 which felt like cool air was coming in. It was nice to have the kitchen facilities and the building is secure. We had a nice view of the square also. It's near the market, grocery shopping, sightseeing and restaurants.

Just add a coffee table by the sofa and towel bars in bathroom.
