Great location. Excellent value. Kana was welcoming - she was like a house mother. She is interested in the guests and very informative. We ended up here last minute after our other accommodation was so terrible. Loved the common area and the age of the building adds a lot of character.

We stayed for 3 nights, it was one of the most wholesome stayes so far in japan. Kana, the good soul of the hostel, is so sweet, we chated a lot with her. She gave us a lot of usefull tips with the bus routes and dinner recommandations. Besides that the hostel is clean, there are 2 showers and to toilets, but it was more than enough, it wasnt crowded at all, we never had to wait for taking a shower. You get a closet for your stuff in the room, two big backs and a small one where fitting in there. You have also spave in the room to put some clothes elsewhere without disturbing other guestst. The double beds in the 4 bed room are comfortable. If you are really sensitiv to noises you should use oropax for the night, because its an old post office and the walls are really thin, you can hear other guests in the other rooms and the cars at the street in front of the building. But Kana is really aware to it, that all people are quite after 10 pm and we hadn't any problems to get a good sleep. You can go from the hostel with the bus to all apots in hakone, you can even walk if you are a sturdy hiker. Would recommand if you want to get to know hakone. We loved it.

Nothing really, maybe the noises but like i said, nothing really to worry about at night.

We loved the staff miss Kana. She was very friendly and helped us with everything.
