I had quite an adventure getting to the guest house*, but when I did I received the warmest welcome! The bunk beds are excellent, roomy with plenty of space for your stuff, sockets to charge up, lighting, comfy and with a curtain for privacy. I had a really cosy sleep, probably one of the best bunk beds I've ever had in Japan.
*Missed my stop on the train, and it was the last train! I contacted the owner to let him know, and while I managed to sort it out myself, he actually contacted a nearby friend to come and pick me up form the station I ended up at!
To access the guesthouse, you have to go up a fairly steep, narrow slope, including concrete steps and also just a dirt path. It's really difficult if you have heavy luggage with wheels! Much better if you have a backpack! the track also gets very muddy / puddles in the rain.

Great atmosphere, really helpful owner. Lounge to meet others + dormbeds are broad and have additional space for personal belongings.

pick up service from kubokawa station is so beyond my expectation.
