Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous setting, lovely to be out of town a bit (may not be the right spot for some people). The staff are friendly and helpful, and the whole place has a lovely old-world charm.

Possibly the mattress.

Idílic location close to San Sebastián. Great restaurant. Fantastic views.

Nothing, it was a great stay

The location is lovely.

I do not think this deserves a 4 star raring, nearer a 3 star grade, Room 204 was a premium room (which we paid for as it was our anniversary treat. When we arrived the room was extremely hot, and windows were open. The open window had allowed in a large number of flying bugs into the room. The air conditioning did not work and when we reported the faulty air con, we were told that it would be reported the following morning…. I believe they knew the air con was faulty! The room needed more cleaning time! To make things worse, the bathroom appeared to get hotter through the night, which added to a very hot poor nights sleep… Things did not improve in the dining room that evening or the over rated breakfast the next morning. No bar service in the early evening until 7.30pm, so no pre dinner drinks… Steak was under cooked (blood red in places) when I asked for medium to well done! Breakfast was average, no fresh fruit, we were offered scrambled eggs (which came with bacon) staff were helpful, but the offering felt budget. I have stayed in many hotel rooms and in my opinion, this hotel is not a four star hotel.
