Everything thing was great. Location was perfect

The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.

Towels were not replaced even though they were placed on the floor as instructed.

Excellent breakfast service

Steep stairs to rooms on upper floor

Clean room. Comfy bed. Good location. Tea/Coffee facilities in room and also an iron, fan and heater.

Room backed on to a small public car park, where youths congregated late at night making lots of noise and causing disturbed sleep. I realise that this is something beyond the hotel's control but just thought I needed to raise this. Shower in room did not work, just a tiny dribble, water freezing cold. Plug in bathroom basin did not hold water in basin for very long. (Hot water was working fine though, compared to the shower!) No-one around on reception when I tried to raise this issue. Slightly earlier check-in of 1pm instead of 2pm was requested via message a few days in advance of arrival, message not acknowledged, generic 'basic info" message then sent on the morning of my arrival, 1pm check-in request was then refused on my arrival, which caused me to be more than an hour late for a function I was attending in Cambridge.
