Stepping into this hotel off the street is actually quite a magical experience. The rooms are arranged around a courtyard which is, it is teeming with lush tropical plants and presided over by a massive dramatic Banyan tree. The lighting in the evening is tasteful and highlights the beauty of the space. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms, while outdated, are large and clean. Breakfast is at the hotel across the street, the Hotel Jaguar.. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that we were also allowed to use a sunbed at the hotel Jaguar. The hotel provides fresh beach towels daily. The location of the hotel is great.

I really loved so much about this hotel but he beds were uncomfortable and the shower was cold. If you ran it for a long time (5-7 minutes) it would eventually become tepid. This hotel would be such a gem if they could just upgrade the mattresses and have a more reliable hot water system. I actually dont care about outdated decor but a comfy bed and a hot shower are must- haves at this price point.
