Very warm welcome felt part of the family from the very first moment. Wonderful breakfast. Eggs cooked to order.Gluten free special items brought to our table every day. Meeting other guests in the bar every evening was very enjoyable. Fantastic location, close to everything but just far enough away to be calm and peaceful.

The host Luis and his wife was very welcoming, the hotel was cosy with a lovely roof terrace and great view over the city. Everything is really close, also a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed the breakfast and drinks from the bar. We have the best impression of Tossa de Mar and will have wonderful memories. Thank you for hosting us!

The location of the hotel is most ideal of Tossa. In 5 minutes walk, you go easily to the bus station, beach, shops, restaurants, etc.. The hotel is located in a quiet area, and feels like home at the first moment you enter. The hotel has a top ambient lighted roof terrace with an incredible 360° view on the Tossa-bay, the Villa Vella and the moorish architectural and historical rampart. Breakfast is highly enjoyable and offers all the fresh and delicious varieties of bread, cheese, meet, coffee, tea, yoghurt, eggs, you can imagine. But the most incredible experience of all trips we have done in 35 years, is the unbeatable and unprecedented level of hospitality of the owners, Luis and Maria. The service and family atmosphere comes straight from the heart of the owners and gives this hotel a priceless high level. This is beyond every expectation, for which I sincerely would like to thank you for making our stay so nice! Graçias a todo la familia! Fien and Walter

Everything was fine

Rooms were spacious and there was a big selection of breakfast. The location was great - just above the old town and near the beach. The main winning factor was the owners who were extremely helpful and friendly with suggestions for good, local restaurants and walking routes.

Everything. Luis, his wife and their staff are the friendliest people operating a small hotel. They had parking on site, great restaurant recommendations, supplied us with beach towels, chairs and umbrellas and made us a great breakfast every morning. Luis welcomes you with a cocktail in the hotel bar when you arrive (just for guests who stay in this 20 room hotel) and gives you a small gift when you leave- something to remember your stay- made by a family member. Families book year over year. When you visit you feel like a member of an extended family for the length of your stay. If we return to Tossa we will only stay here. The Top!

Fantastic in a word the staff the location all exceeded my expectations, I would recommend to any body that likes a laid back quiet traditional hotel. The owner and his wife Mary go out of their way to make your staff as enjoyable as possible.

From the arrival till the end, our stay was amazing! Although the hotel is not super modern, you know what to expect from the pictures and the hospitality is just outstanding! The location and views from the rooftop were also a 10, the rooms were comfortable and we even had a balcony. The breakfast was waiting for us in the morning and they made sure that we were satisfied with everything throughout our whole stay. We also got some really nice food, drinks and beach recommendations to escape from the touristy stuff. We could also see that they took the coronavirus very seriously and all the hygiene/social distance restrictions were respected. 100% recommend!

The owner of Tarul is absolutely incredible! So warm, always willing to assist, had great suggestions for restaurants, beaches, and activities. Truly made out stay special. The breakfast spread is great. The rooms are fantastic and the location is also very nice. I would HIGHLY recommend Tarul to everyone and would definitely repeat my stay here.
