Tarull

Our stay at the Hotel Tarull was definitely a highlight of our 2 week travel through the Catalonia region! Location is fantastic just on the edge of the old town, and a quick 5-10 minute walk from the bus station and town. The owner Luis and his wife were exceptional hosts and made you feel like you were a special guest in their home! In fact through our many years of travel we can honestly say we’ve never experienced anything like this! Luis sat with us after our arrival with a welcome drink and mapped out the area for us and gave us some recommendations on hikes, areas of interest and some of the best local restaurants. The hotel lobby had a very cozy atmosphere where many guests enjoy a cup of coffee or a drink and hospitable and warm service. Luis’ parents built this hotel in 1959, and I admired many of the family’s decor and history left on the walls throughout the hotel as well as many historic photos of the city of Tossa de Mar. Super clean rooms that were spacious with comfortable beds and air conditioning worked great. The rooftop terrace with fantastic panoramic views of the city and old town, with plenty of seating areas to enjoy the view. Fantastic breakfast that included a wide assortment and egg dishes prepared to order… and great coffee! Upon meeting many different people - in particular a group of them coming to this hotel for 46 years! And others building on 2nd generation visits after visiting with their parents as a child. Most of them were repeat customers and I can understand why, as you can see the care and connections the hosts have made with them all. Don’t hesitate to book at this hotel, an experience you won’t regret!

Staying at Hotel Tarull was one of the highlights of my time in Tossa de Mar. What makes this hotel truly special is not only the location, but the warmth and genuine hospitality of Luis and his family. From the moment I arrived, I felt incredibly welcome. Luis is an exceptional host. He took the time to personally explain the area to me and shared recommendations for hidden beaches, beautiful viewpoints, local places, and other treasures of the region that I would probably never have discovered on my own. He did everything he could to make my stay as easy and convenient as possible. What impressed me most was that this personal attention was not limited to me—Luis seems to build a genuine connection with every guest, which gives the hotel a very special atmosphere that you simply do not get in larger hotels. The breakfast was excellent and a great way to start the day, and the rooftop terrace is another highlight, with wonderful views over Tossa de Mar and the surrounding landscape. The location is also fantastic. You are right in the historic part of Tossa de Mar, close to the beautiful old town and only a short walk from the beach. Everything is within easy reach, while the hotel itself still feels peaceful and welcoming. Tossa de Mar and the surrounding region are beautiful: great food, friendly people, stunning coastline, and a remarkable amount of history and culture. Staying at Hotel Tarull made it even more memorable because Luis and his family helped me experience the place on a much more personal and local level. I would absolutely stay here again and can recommend Hotel Tarull without hesitation.

The host is extremely nice and always ready to help you. It made us feel very comfortable. The hotel it is located few minutes from the beach in the pedestrian area full of shops and restaurants. It has a roof top terrace with impressive view over Tossa de Mar

The hotel is located in the old part of the city, close to the fortress, close to the bus station and close to everything you will need here. Very pleasant to stay. The owners are lovely and very kind. The breakfast is also very good. The hotel is decorated with care and effort, and this is the attitude towards the guests.
