Rido Hotel

I chose this hotel for its location near the park and it was perfect for morning runs but also for the opportunity to experience local everyday life of families, tai chi and absorbing nature. It was steps away from the metro for super easy access. We could walk through some great streets and neighbourhoods and had endless options of food to eat. The hotel was unique in its design but efficient, clean and comfortable. Lots of variety for breakfast and also the “tea time” in the afternoon was a nice touch.

The king size bed was a little firm but otherwise nothing to complain about.

Excellent location with convenient access to MRT stations, convenience stores and Yongkang Street. The proximity to Daan Forest Park, weekend flower and jade markets is a bonus.

The lighting in the bathroom is a little dim for my liking, and no laundry facilities for guest use.

The light switch locations were a bit of a rediscovery each time. But solvable. The suit case table was positioned directly under the TV causing the suit case to be closed each time to turn ithe TV on, change channels, or off. The shower hot water took much longer to warm up than anticipated. The sauna room didn't work the first night it did the 2nd night. I

It needs a refurbishment, the installations are antiquated and have become uncomfortable. The rooms are very noisy (you can hear the water pipes, the fan wakes you up in the middle of the night). The bathroom is always moist, there isn't a towel rail... There is no lobby (just a sad underground "tea room". So you can't even wait for your room to be ready. Also I wish they asked us if we wanted a double bed instead of putting us in a room with 2 single beds.
