Amare Hotel Jongno

Hotel Amare was everything we hoped for in this amazingly lively neighbourhood. We were welcomed by very friendly staff and the room, with its balcony was clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. It was great to sit out and have a restful drink before rejoining the energy of the city. Housekeeping was amazing. The room was made up everyday, with fresh towels provided. We would definitely stay here again as its central location, with train stations at either end of the street making it so easy to reach the sights of sensational Seoul.

Breakfast was very basic and repetitive.

The location is excellent, with many of Seoul's main palaces, historic sites, and attractions within walking distance. The hotel is also very close to several metro lines, making it easy to explore different parts of the city. City Hall is just one metro stop away, and Seoul Station can be reached in only two stops. The surrounding neighborhood is lively, trendy, and full of character, with plenty of shops, restaurants, cafés, and services nearby. We especially appreciated the proximity to the jewelry district, which is a great place to find gifts or souvenirs. Despite the vibrant atmosphere outside, the room was exceptionally quiet, allowing us to enjoy a perfect night's sleep. The bed was large and very comfortable, and the bathroom was modern, clean, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. Additional conveniences such as a kettle, coffee machine, and a shared microwave were very useful during our stay. Breakfast was delicious and filling. The complimentary bottled drinking water was an outstanding bonus and much appreciated throughout our stay. Overall, this is an excellent base for exploring Seoul, whether you want to visit the main attractions, travel around the city by metro, or take day trips to other areas.

The only minor downside was the room layout. While the toilet and shower were separated, the sink area was open to the rest of the room. An additional partition or wall separating the sink from the sleeping area would provide a bit more privacy and make the design even more practical. The breakfast was very good, tasty, and filling, but a little more variety or some occasional changes to the selection would be welcome for guests staying multiple days. Other than these small points, everything was excellent.
