We liked this old styled hotel with its fantastic bar area and stoep very much.
The room was spacious and clean, with a well sized bathroom and a terrace - but no view from the terrace just a wall -.
The bar has an immense variety of brillant wines from SA.
Next to the bar is the breakfast, lunch and dining area, which is very pleasant.
Unfortunately our dinner wasn't that good. Carpacchio was dunked underneath of cheddar, no parmesan. You couldn't even see the meat.
The burger wasn't pleasant, the steak was well done, if not over and we ordered it medium. The Indonesian plate was tasteless.
Their is a lot of improvement to do for this unique kind of a hotel.

My partner's dinner was apparently delicious. However, my dinner was really a disappointment, especially price wise.
There was no hairdryer in the room and there wasn't a tea/coffee station in the room. But if you wanted tea/coffee you could order it at any time of the day/night. They did serve tea between 4 and 5pm.
