Watermead House

We had a one night stay at Watermead House. The room was beautiful, very classy & stylish. Immaculately clean. Tea & coffee making facilities in the room. A lovely bright bathroom. Now the bed...what can I say, this was the comfiest bed myself & my husband have slept in in a very long time. Excellent mattress, pillows, duvet, quality bedding, it honestly was exceptional & making us want an upgrade now we're back at home😂 The b&b is also set back from the main road so very quiet & peaceful. Breakfast was also wonderful, lots on offer & the cooked option was a winner 🏆 If ever we visit Chard again we will definitely chose this B&B.

Very homely and comfortable

The staff was excellent: friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy, with very comfortable beds and excellent in-room technology. Breakfast was also superb, with a wide range of choices, particularly the daily specials. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

The only minor inconvenience was that, when everything was very quiet late at night or early in the morning, I could occasionally hear guests in the nearby rooms talking or watching television. This is understandable given that the hotel is a converted house, and it certainly did not detract from an otherwise excellent stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Watermead Hotel in Chard. Both Jamie and Gary were fantastic hosts and the hotel is first class, right from the central location, through to the comfortable and exceptionally clean room to the delicious breakfast. They have thought of everything and all their thoughtful little touches and helpful advice on the surrounding areas makes for a very pleasant stay. You won't be disappointed!
