Residence Le Vigne

We had a wonderful stay! The accommodation was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and surrounded by a lovely garden. It was very quiet and peaceful, while still being within easy walking distance of the beach, shops, and the centre of Forio. The apartment had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen with all the necessary utensils and a washing machine. We especially loved the beautiful, spacious terrace – a perfect place to sit and relax outside. The host was incredibly kind and helpful. He was always available whenever we needed anything, responded very quickly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. I honestly cannot imagine a better place to stay in Forio. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it!

La ubicación está genial, cerca de la playa y a 15 minutos del pueblo. Lo que más me ha gustado es la experiencia en sí misma: el plan es muy familiar, con Nino súperpendiente todo el día. También nos encantó que por las mañanas había venta ambulante de fruta y lácteos.

En realidad nos gustó todo. Algunos días hizo tanto calor que echamos en falta una piscina. en la propia residencia, pero considero que, en general, con temperaturas normales de verano y lo cerca que está la playa, es muy cómodo.

Proximity to the beach, great restaurants and supermarket was excellent – for the quieter coast of the island, we were busy and satisfied with our surroundings for the 8 days we spent there. Nino and Stella (pardon the spelling, if it's incorrect!) were impeccable hosts. From the moment we landed in Naples to the moment we left Ischia, they were attentive and proactive. They helped us with the ferry from Naples (I'd booked for Ischia Port instead of Forio and Nino made a point of noting the difference without knowing I'd already made the mistake!), they met us at the port and arranged a taxi ahead of time, had already checked us in at the hospital in Ischia for our unwell baby, got us there while they took our luggage to the residence, and met us at the gate when we arrived back by taxi. On top of this, Nino looked over the prescription from the doctor and went and got the medicine for us while we looked after the baby. Unbelievable level of service! Nino was welcoming and happy to chat in his best English, but was likewise very happy to leave us to our own devices – not overbearing, not cold, just all around a perfect host. The property itself felt like paradise – the peace and quiet, the birdsong, the greenery, and the view of the cliffs through the trees out of the back of the apartment were so tranquil, it perfectly met our needs for a getaway. The patio outside was where we spent most of our time, chatting every now and then with Nino, buying mozzarella and fruits from the visiting vendors and playing with our baby. We ended up with two bedrooms, which was more than we needed but was perfect considering the amount of luggage we had with us. The room came with a highchair and a travel cot, so all of our needs were met as far as the baby was concerned. Air conditioning was in perfect working order, which was a lifesaver during the heatwave.

The only complaint we had, and it is relatively minor, was the showers in the property. Both (yes, two bathrooms, amazing!) had very tight spreads and were very powerful, so sometimes were quite uncomfortable and loud – they also startled our little one. I think if we didn't have the baby with us, we wouldn't have cared so much. Everything else was perfect.

This was my 4th visit to Ischia and I chose Le Vigne because of the location - ideally situated near to the beach, the bus to get around the island, and the thermal baths, restaurants. The apartments are spacious, and very comfortable With everything you need as well as a washing machine. It is very quiet. The best part is the warm welcome from Nino. He was always available to share information and offer advise on buses, restaurants etc.
