This home is great! It is a very pretty setting with lots of privacy, and a awesome game room! Had so much fun relaxing, sitting in the hot tub and catching up with friends. Would definitely recommend this home for a fun getaway.

This place has it all! Everyone in your party will find something they love. Beautiful hike around the property, fun outdoor games, a ride into town for antique shopping, use the completely decked out game room, relaxing in the hot tub, and I could go on and on! This is a well thought out and stocked home! Enjoy!!

Relaxing family get together.
This property was excellent for meeting together with several family members in a relaxing location and yet close enough to Poway to easily visit a relative in a care facility. The game room and outdoor activities were very good. We all slept well. Dining room and kitchen were the center of our indoor socializing and worked well. Nice private outdoor area. We had a very enjoyable stay. The owners were available if we would have needed any help, which we didn't.

Beautiful Secluded Retreat
The property is fantastic. A great place to get away from it all while still being close enough to explore the San Diego area. The home is very nice and the game room makes the place fantastic. The property has room to do lots of exploring while also playing some outdoor family games of disc golf, horseshoes, cornhole, etc. Looking forward to going back with the family soon!

We enjoyed holiday time with our family gathering from Texas, Illinois and California. This lovely home met our needs for both the little ones and adults in our four family units. Even though the weather turned a bit damp, we were still able to enjoy the property, hike to Potato Chip Rock, and drive into San Diego for the Zoo and Coronado Island beach time. Carissa is an excellent host and was very prompt with answering questions and meeting our needs. The whole group especially enjoyed the hot tub in the cold weather. We were glad we chose this home for this trip.

Excellent family home in a natural location
We enjoyed holiday time with our family gathering from Texas, Illinois and California. This lovely home met our needs for both the little ones and adults in our four family units. Perfect Family Retreat
The pictures looked good when we made the reservation, but they really don’t do justice to this amazing property. We loved everything about the accommodations, although my 10 and 11 yr old boys are now spoiled for life after 5 days with that incredible game room. The Potato Chip Rock hike is a must do! Carissa was super responsive and easy to work with. I could not recommend this place more.

Great Space
The home and property were amazing -- exceeding our expectations. Though we weren't that far away from San Diego proper -- it felt like we were 100s of miles away.
A campground abuts the property -- thus, the strictly enforced quiet hours.

Our family, young and old, had so much of fun at the mountain retreat! We especially enjoyed spotting bunnies and wildlife, the arcade games in the game room, horseshoes, and the nature outside. Thank you!

Fabulous Mountain Retreat
Just spent a lovely long weekend in this fabulous mountain retreat! The property and home were perfect for our family and we very much enjoyed the outdoor activities and, in particular, the new game room. The home was spacious and inviting and provided great access to all the great things Ramona has to offer. Thank you so much for providing such a special experience! We hope to see you again soon!

The property was very nice but the description was misleading.
If you are looking for a secluded location this isn’t exactly that. We stared right at the campsite grounds from the property from the back patio. It was definitely not that secluded feeling we were expecting. It was right next door!
We also had a “noise complaint” from our noisy campground neighbors supposedly within 3 hours of us being there. Instead of a phone call or text from the host who lives near by she showed up unannounced and was standing on the back patio informing us about supposed complaint and to be quiet. The interaction was cordial.
This made us feel like we had to be on eggshells for when the host was going to show back up.
Just never had that remote feeling. Just be advised. Also, if you clean up and use more than 4 trash bags you will be charged $150 that is not listed in the contract FYI. DO NOT EXPECT TO GET YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK.

Wonderful retreat
We visited this home to get away from the city with our family for a few days. The property is so serene and relaxing. The backyard is gorgeous and peaceful, and our boys loved exploring the grounds. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Carissa is incredibly responsive and goes out of her way to ensure a wonderful stay. Our boys keep asking when we can go back!

Fantastic Location and lots of fun
We stumbled upon this house and Ramona,CA while looking at locations to book for New Years. We still can’t seem to figure out how we found this house but we are all very glad we did. The house is cozy and fit our 2 families very comfortably. With 4 boys there was plenty of outdoor activities for them and we brought bicycles so they would ride over to the park next door and hang out or go exploring.
The area was very secluded and safe and Carissa was very communicative and friendly with requests and questions. We are looking forward to coming back in the Spring or Summer!

christmas 2020
after the entire family quarantined before coming together in this homey mountain retreat we were all so very pleased with the property. The owner went up and beyond putting just enough christmas decorations to make it have that special feel. It was very clean and felt safe and we all had a very memorable time.

Very Cool Property
Tucked away, great for kids. Property owners are great. Good for small group, lots of outdoor picnic tables. Close to hiking, park, and wineries. I recommend!

Great little get away in the hills
The owners went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable with some personalized gifts for our kids (birthday) and even bought a small dinner chair for our 1 year old to eat in since we forgot ours. The property is tucked away in a secluded area just behind a state park and offers hiking and other outdoor amenities. We enjoyed some of the local stores and farms in the neighboring areas including a trip to the Oasis Camel farm where our kids got a private tour (during COVID) to meet and feed many of their animals.

Quiet Retreat
I took my 3 boys on an annual golf trip and this place was perfect. Quiet , clean and very relaxing. Golfed in San Bernardo ( 25 min ) and Carlsbad
( 50 min ) . What looked like a lil grocery store just as you turn left onto the 67 also has great pizza. (The Works is awesome ) ! Back to the house. We enjoyed sitting out on the back deck listening to the frogs serenading us. At dusk the mosquitoes come out but not really an issue if you have some wipes or spray. At dark they are a non-issue. Carissa very nice and easy to deal with. I highly recommend this retreat.

Relaxing retreat
We loved this house - esp the patio. We were able to comfortably fit a group of 14 of us. The house looks just like in the photos! We hiked up the private trail and walked to the lovely park down the street! Perfect for a getaway!

The home is lovely and grounds are beautiful
Loved sitting on the back deck for coffee in the morning, very peaceful. Carissa was always available for any of our needs and quick to respond. Even after our stay when we realized we forgot something at the house she was right there and ready to help.

Private getaway
This property is very secluded and the children so enjoyed going through the trails. The kitchen was perfect for our stay and plenty of beds for all. Very clean..

Awesome opportunity
It is very rare when you need to enjoy a day or two in the mountains and find a clean, nice and mountain home. This is the home you need to spend the weekend and spring break at. The host is very kind and generous. I highly recommend to other people.

WOW! Cool house, property and location. Very private and warm.
We were in the area for a wedding and this property was close by. It was super clean and all the beds felt like we were at a high end hotel. The property is in the heart of Ramona's wine country in a secluded area right next to a county park. There's a lake within walking distance, trails, playgrounds and just a great atmosphere. It felt like a colorado mountain getaway, we wish we could have stayed longer!

One of the best vacation rentals I’ve stayed at
Where to begin... Our group of 12 stayed at the mountain retreat for a weekend getaway in the wine country of Ramona and Carissa & Cory were amazing hosts! They had all the details covered. The home was beautifully decorated and stocked with everything we needed. The kids enjoyed playing outside and hiking around during the day and loved “the adventure room” for their own night retreat of movies and video games. The house is very spacious and the location of the home was ideal because although you feel like you are miles away everything you need in town is just minutes down the road. There’s even a local deli that delivers which was a life saver after a day at the wineries. The beds and linens were comfortable and cozy. The mornings were peaceful to sit on the patio, gaze at the gorgeous mountain side, listen to sounds of nature, sip on coffee and relax with friends and family. None of us wanted our stay to end and we all look forward to returning again. We highly recommend this retreat.
