This is our favorite neighborhood in the Sawyer/St. Joe/New Buffalo area, hands down! The beach is never too busy, the walk to the beach is quick and easy, and on a whole, the neighborhood is quiet. This house was perfectly suited for our needs, with ample bedroom space for my family of five as well as my parents and our dog, a swingset in the backyard, and good living spaces. The only thing I'd change would be the sheets, as the ones on our bed were quite pilly and rough, but that's an easy fix! We would absolutely stay here again!

We loved being able to walk to the beach easily as well as have the swing set to play on for our son. The amount of space was perfect for us.

Property was clean, well maintained, a quick walk to the beach, and perfect for our two families to spend a holiday weekend together. The host was even able and willing to accomodate a last minute date change. We would love to return!

We enjoyed our stay here with our Pomeranian! beautiful sunsets, private beach where we had fires every night. The house was clean and well equipped with a chef's kitchen Outdoor shower, too. Highly recommend for larger group or just a few.

We enjoyed our stay the week of Thanksgiving. Nice layout, very comfortable. A little closer to Red Arrow, but no noise. Enjoyed the wood burning stove and the open kitchen. Thanks!

This was our second year in a row coming up for the Columbus Day weekend and it was another memorable trip. Between the fall festival, the pumpkin patch, the beach, and the surrounding wineries and breweries, the whole family had a blast. The house was the perfect set up once again and the kids loved playing on the playground in the backyard. Can’t wait to do it again next year..

Nice place with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The location was great - short walk to a very nice beach on Lake Michigan. Quiet neighborhood. Owner was very responsive. Great experience all the way around.

We were very impressed with Jamie’s place. The inside was very clean and spacious. The outside was equally as great with a large backyard with a very nice play set. This place is ideal for families with younger kids and we will definitely be back. We highly recommend this house!

Cute house, only a couple hand towels and washcloths. No top sheers on beds, dishes left in dishwasher. Paid for cleaning n not sure it was cleaned b4 I got there. Load train n traffic noice

We had a wonderful stay at this house! Plenty of room for our family of 5 and pup, very clean, well-stocked and just a 5-minute walk to the beach! There was even a bottle of wine and s’mores supplies for us to enjoy when we arrived! We loved every part of it and hope to return next year!

Quick walk to the beach. Private backyard (trees, bushes that created privacy from neighbors). We had 6 adults and am glad we didn’t invite more friends - it would’ve been too tight.

Nice R & R Get Away
This is an enjoyable property in a nice location near Lake Michigan. The walk to the beach is short and easy. There are about 50 steps down to the association's private beach so be prepared for that. It is a short ride to New Buffalo where you can find tennis and pickle ball courts by the high school. You also can find plenty of restaurants in town and on the drive in from the property. We were happy that the home was stocked with an assortment of condiments and basic spices and oils. There were also coffee pods for the Keurig style machine. There are plenty of dishes and a decent amount of silverware and other cooking utensils. If you are staying for more than a couple of nights, you may miss a dresser to unpack a little. The sleeping was comfy and we liked the two separated living areas. The second full bath is very tiny but will work in a pinch. If you have children, they will enjoy the yard. On the chilly nights we were there, we enjoyed the wood burning stove. On warmer days and evenings I am certain the outdoor areas and screened porch would get plenty of use!

Lovely home and location for a getaway!
We enjoyed a few sunny March days at Jamie’s home and felt far away from our city life! The house is comfortable for a family with a great backyard our toddler loved. It was a short, easy walk to the beach and we enjoyed the quiet afternoons waking along the lakeshore. Jamie was a flexible and accommodating host - we are grateful for her hospitality and would gladly stay again!

Wonderful Winter Retreat
We had such a lovely long weekend at Jamie’s cute, cozy lake house. It was the perfect getaway for a cold Valentine’s Day, with an incredible fireplace and living space that made us feel right at home (not to mention the wine and chocolates, which were such nice touches!). The home was tastefully decorated and the kitchen was incredibly well-stocked with great equipment and appliances. True to the photos in the listing, it was spotless, which is so important to us given the increased risks of traveling these days. It smelled great, too! We’ll definitely be back again when the weather warms up.
