Hôtel Amédzépé

Der Speisesaal war ein schöner Treffpunkt und hatte ein Sofa und Spiele, auch die Dachtetrasse lohnt sich. Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt und wurde frisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Topp! Der Garten ist sehr schön, wir konnten uns an den Vögeln nicht sattsehen. Wir haben über die Unterkunft einen tollen Guide gebucht, der unsere Ausflüge begleitet hat.

Die Zufahrtsstraße mit tiefen Schlaglöchern hat den Reifen und dem Unterboden unseres Autos etwas zugesetzt, aber das ist ja nicht ungewöhnlich, man sollte sich nur drauf einstellen. Dafür gab es einen Parkplatz vor der Tür und eine tägliche Wäsche 😊

It’s a small, simple and charming place with just a few bungalow-style rooms, and what really makes it special is the staff. Everyone, from the manager to the restaurant staff, was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The room was comfortable, cool and very well designed using traditional materials, and we slept really well. Each room also has its own little patio, which is a nice touch. There’s a small pool that is perfect for cooling off after a day exploring Kpalimé. The food was another highlight — everything we ate was delicious, especially the breakfasts. Some of the best crêpes we had in Togo, and even the homemade fries were excellent! It’s also a very convenient base for exploring Kpalimé and the surrounding area. Overall, excellent value for money and a place we were always happy to come back to after a day out.

The hotel can be a little difficult to find at first, and some of the smaller roads leading to it are not easily accessible by car. It’s much easier to approach from the main road, so clearer directions beforehand would be helpful. Also worth knowing that the bathroom area is integrated into the room, with only a light partition separating the toilet and shower, so there isn’t much privacy if you’re sharing. We were initially unsure about the setup, but in practice the room was comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay at Hôtel Amédzépé. The space is charming, the rooms are lovely and the staff was so kind. We took advantage of the pool at least once a day to cool down after our adventures around Kpalimé, played cards in the restaurant/common area and even got to catch some of the World Cup on the TV in the same area. It was quiet and peaceful during our time there. My kids absolutely loved it. The food was also good! Thank you to Jean and all the staff for the kind welcome!
