We chose this flat for a family holiday over other flats in the area as it was listed with wifi available in all areas of the property. When we arrived at the flat though there was no sign of the wifi router in the flat. After contacting the landlady Cristina via message, she confessed that the wifi belongs to her neighbour who lives in the building and that her neighbour has shared her wifi password with her (the landlady) and allowed her to use it. Due to the distance from the two flats , the wifi signal is inexistent and you couldn’t get any wifi signal anywhere in the flat. After messaging the landlady again and pointing out that the wifi service was non existent in her flat contrary to what she listed on booking.com she said that she was aware of the problem and that she would remove the wifi listing from booking.com . I said to her via message that listing a service that you do not have/ offer is simply deceitful! The most upsetting thing was that instead of admitting that she was wrong or apologise for the lack of internet that she failed to provide she had the audacity to message me “advising me to forget about the wifi and instead go out and enjoy the day and go to the beach”. I needed the wifi to do both my university coursework and to deal with my work emails. Instead I had to buy a data package for the cost of €40 in order to use internet on my laptop on top of the £180 GBP I had paid for the flat for the 3 night stay. The 2nd issue was that the flat is located on the 1st floor of a building which faces the main road Corso Vittorio Emanuele III. From 4:45AM until 11pm there are cars and other big vehicles that pass and transit through the main road outside the flat which make the flat extremely noisy. It feels as if the cars are driving through the living room/ kitchen area of the flat due to the proximity from the 1st floor to the Main Street. We were unable to sleep due to the noise and we were extremely sleep deprived as a consequence!
