We made a very late decision to visit Besancon and I didn't have much time to research properties. But the hotel was absolutely fine and comfortable. We only stayed for one night, so only got a fleeting impression of both the hotel and the city. But it is a place I would visit again.

Unfortunately the car park adjacent to the hotel was full when we arrived, which couldn't be helped as we hadn't reserved a space. However the young lady at reception was tremendously helpful. She looked after our bags and gave us good directions to an alternative car park. All the staff that we encountered at the hotel were friendly.

-access to the property is very difficult as at each end of the block there is a no entry sign and you must share the road with trams, -one also needs an up to date GPS to navigate the one way streets in the area of the hotel -the price seems too high

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They spoke French slowly and clearly, which helped us. The location is a 15-20 minute walk from the city centre, but there is a tram stop right outside the hotel and the trams are frequent. We liked the balcony.

The bed mattress was a little too soft.

Since the building looks newly renovated it was quite confusing to get a direct exit from the garage to the reception on the first day. but I guess they will have them fixed .

Quite big room to the back with a “garden outside place”. Nice bed and pillows. A 10 minutes walk down to the absolut centre of town. A simple and good place to park the bicycles.

There was no possibility to get a beer or a drink.

Nicely furnished room in central location to explore the city. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. I can absolutely recommend this place.

The door for the shower was badly designed. I could just manage to get in and out, but for a larger person it would be very uncomfortable/impossible.
