Lovely clean spacious apartment. Home from home .🙂

Nothing

Comfortable, traditional, very clean and well equipped. Ideal location in quiet neighbourhood equidistant from both the town centre and clifftop walk to Sandsend. On the main bus route too. Generous welcome pack provided by the owner. Powerful shower and plentiful hot water.

Some minor basic maintenance items would improve the experience slightly: Cooker hood and lamp does not appear to work, loose tap in bathroom, toilet roll holder broken, front door lock and key safe difficult to operate. No bulbs in under wall cupboard lighting in kitchen. For people with mobility issues, the walk into Whitby is quite hilly - not an issue for us but something to be aware of. The car park was great with 3 small cars in it, but 3 larger cars/SUV’s would probably be a squeeze. Not overly impressed with Sykes Cottages - felt the service rather impersonal and inflexible.

As soon as you walked in it felt like a home away from home it was really cosy and the decor was really nice the rooms where so large the pictures don't actually do it justice the bed was really comfortable and we loved a couple of cosy nights in on the sofa I would definitely stay again for sure.

There was only one issue and that's the shower went really cold after a few minutes im not too sure if the boiler is for all 4 apartments and someone used a tap at the same time but this was the only issue are whole stay.

Location good , short walk into the town and harbour

Room to park 3 cars but a bit difficult if cars didn’t think how to park. Could have done with markings where to park.
