This house is beautiful and the location is perfect. Seriously a very short walk to the beach. We loved the balconies and the pool area. TV’s in every room. We stayed in the East unit several years ago and loved it, so we were thrilled to be able to rent the West unit in January.
A couple of issues: the housekeeping is not stellar. The edges of most of the doors were dirty and sticky and grimy. The floor was not clean. Our socks were black on the bottoms after the first day. The oyster shell light fixture over the kitchen table was caked with dust. I got the broom out of the pantry to sweep and the bristles were sticky and nasty and gross. Several broken window shades. Also, not a single dish towel or dish cloth in the kitchen. The coffee maker is on its very last leg and needs to be replaced.
The house is really great, plenty of room, love the pool area, and so close to the beach. We’d definitely stay again. I’m giving an overall review of 5 stars; however, I hope the issues pointed out above will be addressed.

This property exceeded our expectations! From the second we walked in the front door, we were blown away. This property housed 4 couples with plenty of room, we never felt cramped. The driveway held 3 full size trucks & 1 8 passenger golf cart while still having room to move around the vehicles. The property had beach chairs, wagon, beach towels etc… for us to use & they were all in great shape! I HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone looking to spend time in lovely Bradenton Beach area!

PERFECT location - 1 minute walk to beach entrance
We thought it was even better than being on the main road (Gulf Drive) directly across from the beach because we didn’t have the traffic going by directly in front of the house.
House had a well equipped kitchen, beach towels, beach things - canopy, wagon, rafts and toys.
We would stay here again!

We had a great stay! One issue was the stairs are very steep and long and the stair treads were quite narrow. We have a two year old so we found this very dangerous. The pool area was quite dirty as well. I did have to clean it myself upon arrival. There was a lot of construction going on across the street. We know this is not in anyone's control, but it was disappointing.

Had talked with Jennifer at the rental agency 4 times prior to arriving. When asking to check in early Jennifer said that they were installing fans and lights and it might not be ready for early check in. This is understandable however, I asked her 2x if the installation of the fans and lights were going to be a problem and she replied no not at all the house is ready. When we arrived the house was covered in plastic and painters were painting. No lights were connected outside and had exposed wires along with construction debris in the foyer at the front door which made it very difficult to see the key pad to enter the house in the dark. After complaining by phone with no return calls back I started paper trail of emails. They came on our 3rd day to remove the plastic and the painters continued to paint the other side of the house. Very uncomfortable trying to enjoy the back yard when painters are on ladders overlooking us with the radio plasting loud enough that we had a hard time talking to each other. I also called and emailed about the dining table on the patio. It was very unstable and if you touched it, it would shift 6 inches. It was dangerous and we could not sit outside and enjoy the view of the ocean and play games as my family does everytime we get together. My daughter sat in one of the end chairs outside at the dining table and the table collapsed on the ground and the chairs stopped the larger piece from crushing her legs and or feet. I'm not going to nit pick at other small details but this is not what we expected. The table by the pool was unstable and only 1 chair for a 4 bedroom home. After they finally removed the plastic and fixed the table then hurricane Nicole hit. This was not their problem however we could not enjoy the beginning of the trip because all the issues with the house and then mother nature took the last few days we had to enjoy the house.
The inside of the house was beautiful but, I did not come down to Florida to sit inside and look out at the view through plastic covered windows nor to sit at an unstable dining table on the patio. The rental agency offered me a small refund of 700.00 on the last night of our vacation after questioning this issue numerous times. I accepted it so I may put this vacation behind me.
Not expecting this from a premier host listing.

The location is great! You can walk to restaurants and shopping. The beach is right across the street. There is a wagon and plenty of beach chairs etc. The house was clean and well maintained. My only complaint is there were no replacement trash bags or toilet paper, which is typically included in all other houses I have rented.

Very nice property with lots of space. Update amenities to include baby items (pack & play, etc.) so that tenants don’t have to rent. Good experience despite red tide and mosquitos.

Outstanding Stay on Ana Maria Island!
A fabulous two weeks! Probably the best VRBO property we have rented. The villa is beautiful, very tastefully furnished and comes across more as a home (thoughtfully decorated) than a typical rental (bland). The location is perfect, an easy walk to Bridge Street and many restaurant choices, but also a 15 minute drive into Longboat Key for restaurants and shopping. Just 30 minutes into Sarasota. There is a one mile walking path through the state park to the south (you could continue over the bridge into Longboat Key) and the beaches there are beautiful, much more of what you would expect in the Caribbean. Ana Maria Island has a low key, relaxed quality to it, but there is still a lot to do. And the owners are there if you need them. The consistent 5 stars from VRBO is well deserved!

The villa was absolutely amazing! We could not have been happier!
My family and I had a wonderful stay at Anna Maria Island. The villa was spacious and beautifully furnished. The gulf view from the front balcony was grand...had two mornings of dolphin sightings while drinking coffee! The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, and a blender! The owner thought of every need one might need including plenty of beach towels, chairs, umbrella, and a beach wagon to carry everything to the beach...which was just steps away! Our family Christmas vacation was absolutely grand..wonderful memories were made! We definitely look forward to staying here again and again!

Our family of 4 really loved our stay at Starfish Villa on Anna Maria Island. This was our first trip to AMI, we usually go further south on the gulf side of Florida for our winter vacations. This was a great change for us. The villa is very clean, decorated beautifully and furnished with all your vacation needs. The location was ideal for us, we enjoyed the pool and the beach every day! The island is very busy and a lot of traffic is the only negative. The sunsets are amazing, we will be returning and miss it already!!

Anna Maria Winter Vacation
The house was great! It is decorated very nicely and came with all the accessories you need for the beach! You can see the ocean from the outside deck off the master bedroom and the pool area was very nice (although we did not use it). Each room has a smart TV and plenty of blankets and beach towels! The weather was very chilly and rainy the week we were there, so having the blankets to use while sitting on the beach was very nice!

We loved our second stay in this house. I just keeps getting better with each visit. The owner is super nice and helpful. The house and pool are so nice and it is only a few steps to a nearly private beach-hardly anyone there to bother us. Looking forward to another stay!

The condo was absolutely beautiful and clean. The owners did an amazing job furnishing and decorating the place. It had everything you needed. The owners thought of everything. It is definitely the nicest place we have ever stayed in.

Great House with Everything You Need!
The House was great for our family of 8. It is stocked with plenty of towels, pool towels and beach towels so no need to bring any of that. There was a beach cart, wagon and chairs in the garage so it was wonderful to not have to pack any of those items either. It is super close to the beach and we were able to have gulf views as we sat on the porch. Since it is across from a public area be prepared for larger crowds on weekends. Wasn’t bad at all during the week though. Definitely recommended this house to anyone looking for a clean well stocked house with great communication from the owner!

Beautiful Place!
We rented both villas for a family beach week, and it was really fantastic! This home is by far the best equipped rental I have ever had, the owners have thought of everything. The villas are clean and well furnished, and the location is perfect. The beautiful Coquina Beach is right across the street, but you could actually sit and watch the sun set from the upstairs balcony. Short walk to Bridge Street for dinner and drinks, or catch the trolley to anywhere on the island. Loved this villa, we will most definitely rent here again!

Anna Marie Island vacation
The condo was beautiful. Debbie thought of everything. She has the condo stocked with everything we could possibly want or need. The time was very enjoyable. Thanks Debbie. Would highly recommend the condo and a stay on Anna Marie Island. The beach and water are beautiful. And, many restaurants to enjoy. We rented an eight passenger golf cart and the girls thought that was a lot of fun. Our granddaughter thought a great summer job would be to drive people around the island on a golf cart. The girls also loved the sunset cruise to see the dolphins.

We spent a glorious week with our family at the villa. It’s a beautiful place that is outfitted very nicely and the location is great. Absolutely no complaints here. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing vacation and accommodations!
We had a wonderful Vacation! I don’t even know where to begin... the house was gorgeous, very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Debbie and Donnie have thought of everything to make their guests comfortable. Also, the house was well stocked with all the special and little things you wouldn’t even think of! There was sunscreen, aloe in the fridge, a box of medications if needed, etc. there were games, puzzles, cards, coloring books... I could go on and on! The views from the master bedroom and the front balcony were amazing, we sat out there every day and enjoyed our coffee while watching the waves. This vacation was amazing and extremely relaxing and most of that was due to the fact that Debbie and Donnie went above and beyond to make sure they thought of every little detail. The pool was nice and toasty, too! We will be visiting again, for sure! Thank you to The Goodwin’s for opening and sharing your beautiful home!
