The Harcourt Arms

From walking in through the door to being guided to our exceptional room we felt very special

We couldn’t stay longer!😁

Everything about this hotel was great. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. we sat in the bar, which was fitted out with nice tables, this enabled us to have our dog with us. The ambiance was wonderful. the décor of the rooms and ensuites tastefully done and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying and eating here.

Nothing. It was a brilliant stay and I would like to have stayed longer.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was spotless ,comfortable and cosy. The pub itself was quaint and charming yet modern where needed.

We love everything about it.

Very spacious shower Bed comfortable Tea and coffee facilities available , with fresh milk available on request from the bar.

Very spacious shower yes but the shower room felt clinical and cold - needs 'softening' Bedroom felt 'tight' on space , as we had to keep moving the fan to get to slim wardrobe - in the end kept clothes in suitcase. As an old Inn the narrow area used for breakfast and dining had limited lighting - felt a little too dark at night. Other areas we felt had adequate lighting. Error made on our first breakfast - we didnt receive it ! - was mainly due, in our opinion and opinion of others, that only one staff member was available to serve. She made up breakfast pots , took orders, provided table service - coffee, restocked plates ,delivered orders and attend to checkouts and answeringthe telephone. Another staff member is definitely needed at this service time. The issue of receiving no breakfast, was dealt with on our return for our second evening. Human error - Apologies accepted. Our breakfast on the second morning was sadly quite cool - poached eggs. - again only one staff member. All guests in the dining area that morning noted that the staff member should be supported by another
