Wouldn’t stay again

Close to town,

Firstly not someone who complains parents raised me that if you have a problem to look for a solution to change which is what I did, just a little over halfway through my booking I looked for another place to stay and moved locations. But will be honest in this regard mould in the bathroom upstairs, three different rooms are rented out permanently which was surprising, some of our food was stolen while we were away by one of the renters (probably the one who was smoking pot) which happens more often than not as a big sign was written on someone else’s shelf saying (DO NOT TAKE MY FOOD), for some reason the kitchen floor gets little wet I don’t mean someone’s cleaned it more like water comes up from beneath the flooring but I could be wrong about that maybe it had been cleaned. You loose water pressure upstairs so showering was a timed effort. And the walls are very thin so you hear people at 2am still talking and laughing. I didn’t complain while I was staying there as like I said three rooms are rented permanently so complaining about someone who’s not checking out on Sunday morning while we still had a few weeks booked would have made it awkward and possibly hostile. When I did let the staff know I had checked out early and would like a partial refund for the remaining two weeks because these things I was told because I didn’t complain while there it was a no. So after reading my review you still feel compelled to stay here and things aren’t great remember to complain about them when they are happening while there make a big deal I guess.

With this rate it is very good already. Please don’t expect to have hotel level.

The kitchen and dining area are spacious enough. Provided with oven, microwave, wide fridge, kettle, and induction cooker with a few pots. These allowed us to self cook for like one week. Our room is one large double bed, provided with a big wardrobe and table. Have heater in the room.

The shower on top might be a bit hard to use, and it’s very hard to wait till I have warm/hot water to shower during the winter.

Good value for money and will stay here again for my next visit to Christchurch.

Good value for money. Owner is super nice and friendly and always accessible. Has a washing machine on site and free to use which is a huge bonus point.

The doors of bedrooms and bathrooms are old and make a lot of noice when opening and closing.
