This is a very unique, quaint place...A great place to enjoy nature! It's right be a river, so after a morning of hiking, it was so nice to be able to dip our feet in the cool water. Andres, the host, is also phenomenal! He communicated well and was very helpful. We will definitely return, when we next have the opportunity!
It was a little hard to find on the first day, but Andres was helpful in sending us directions along the way.

The setting is beautiful and it is close to a major town (dirt road down to main centre of town)
I really enjoyed eating dinner at the property but they don’t offer the service every day

There was no wifi at all - the major reason we booked because of the rating on Booking.com
could not have breakfast before 8.30, asked for 6.30 that was ok and then several minutes it was no it’s 8.30. Beds very uncomfortable. No tea or coffee facilities. Vending machines not working or stocked. not suitable if you have mobility issues. toilet and bidit so close difficult to use. No registration when arrived.

Andrés, the owner, has been very welcoming and thoughtful throughout our stay. We felt very much like home. It is remote from the town which make it perfect for a getaway, the property provides a range of services and entertainment. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings.

Breakfast of,
muesli, home made yogurt, toast with Serrano ham and tomato, fruit etc was excellent. Coffee could have been hotter. Andres, hotel owner was charming, super helpful and very kind, ferrying us from the hotel into town and back when I said I didn’t like driving at night. The hotel and surroundings are very beautiful , ideal for visitors interested in mountain biking or hiking. The bedroom was as warm as we wanted with heating controlled by us and the power shower was superb.
Really, there was nothing we didn’t like.

Great location by the river, very peaceful. you are able to walk straight out into the hills and mountains which surround the Casa Carmela.

Andres really was an amazing host. He took his time to introduce us to the local area (whilst he was doing this we got a free drink and some snacks) and ensured that we got a room that exactly matched our request. Also his breakfast was to die for, for the first time in 3 years I have to say that this hotel gave a value-for-money breakfast that left my completely full.
I will definitely be returning here with my father when he visits in June.
