Was even better than advertised! The accommodations are spacious enough for two with a lanai that has two, second-floor water views. Local gifts greeted our welcome with a convenient designated spot to wash our TURO before returning it at the airport. The studio was well-supplied, clean and comfortable, even stocked with variety sets of multiple ocean gear for snorkeling, boogie boarding or sitting on the shore. Our favorite feature is the beautiful ocean-side pool with views of the passing Humpbacks and spinners! The Ali’i location is conveniently within reach of everything along Kona’s coast. Knutson & Associates made the process easy and welcoming. We won’t hesitate to stay there again!

The place was just as advertised. A/C worked very well, kitchen well-equipped, and recreational equipment was in good shape. One special note is that Knutsen & Assoc were just terrific with their friendly, helpful and prompt communications.

It was a good stay. The bed was comfortable. The only thing I wish they had was cleaning supplies. I hate when you don’t have a broom or cleaning supplies to keep a clean space.

unit was beautiful! everything was clean. property management communicated well and provided a nice welcome package for us. gas stove was very nice with plenty of pots and pans for cooking up fresh meals. nice view from the lanai. pool area is nice and perfect spot for sunset pictures (its on the ocean). plenty of beach gear which is a big plus (body boards, chairs, umbrella, snorkel, igloo, towels etc). parking is easy and close. would certainly stay here again.

The condo had everything I could possibly need. Beach chairs and toys, full size appliances with dishes to cook with and eat off of, tv with streaming services, books to read, cool air and an ocean view. I felt like I was staying in a family members condo, being trusted with all the super cute decor and goodies. This really made my daughters first time off the mainland very special! Thank you 😊

The Kona Shore apartment was very clean, and had everything we needed for our trip. It was close the the Kona trolley for town access. The views are spectacular and the pool was quiet for most of the days we visited.We truly appreciate the gift bag & that Heather met us upon arrival and explained everything. The AC was a bit loud for my partner, but it was more white noise for me.Would certainly use the property management for a future trip.

The rental was perfect for my granddaughter and myself. It was well stocked with kitchen gear and as a bonus lots of beach accessories. The management was very responsive and flexible. I will stay there again next trip. Location was great. Easy access to some great beaches as well as downtown. The pool was a nice touch and my granddaughter used it nightly

My husband and I stayed a week in Kona Sores 219. The sunsets from the balcony and from the pool space were amazing. I thought the bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well and the shower had good water pressure. We really enjoyed the beach chairs and extra towels.
The check in process was easy and any questions I had were answered quickly. We really enjoyed our stay.

Our condo was nice and clean. Perfect for 2 people. The A/C worked well and the condo was finished nicely. The rental company checked in frequently and were very nice. The check in and check out were easy. Overall it was a great central location and place to stay.

Spot was very nice! Property manager left us a gift which was a great touch. Super useful to have all the beach things - we used those every day. And the AC was soo nice to have because it got quite hot.

Considering that it’s a studio, it’s very comfortable and had everything we needed. Inside of the large bathroom, there’s lots of room for hanging clothes, a luggage stand, and lots of towels. The kitchen is well- stocked with dishes and appliances, and we appreciated the water filtering pitcher. We never had to buy drinking water.
On the lanai, there were chairs, snorkeling gear, a cooler, boogie boards, etc. When we asked the manager about using the barbecue, he put out charcoal for us to use.
There’s a dedicated space for parking and the pool and grounds are well maintained. We stayed for nine nights, and never ran out of anything. We were sad to leave, and would not hesitate to rent the unit again.

We come every 2 years and rent a condo. This place did not disappoint. It was super clean, nicely decorated, and had all the things we needed for the beach. They had 4 Tommy Bahama beach chairs, boards, hard cooler, masks and even an umbrella to take to the beach among other things we didn’t use. Which is so nice bc when you have to rent them, it starts adding up. The condo is a short drive from downtown which is perfect bc it’s a quick drive but also not so busy. The area is pretty quiet and they had a nice laundry area to wash cloths. They even had an app on the machines so we didn’t have to worry about changing our cash for a bunch of quarters! They were super responsive to any questions we had and we would def rent this condo again!!!!

Our spacious studio condo had everything we needed to enjoy our Kona vacation- it was neat, clean, roomy, had all the amenities, and perhaps best of all- perfect location. The condo itself has beach access, with an ocean side swimming pool. The location was perfect- a short walk to the Kona town center with restaurants and tourist attractions, but far enough away to afford a separation from concentrations of tourists. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Can’t say one negative thing about this property and the renters. It was clean, had everything we needed, excellent location, quiet, easy check in and out, great communication. Had an amazing time on the big island!

The property isn't kid friendly. Lots of glass furniture. Small kitchen. Counter space is almost zero. Smokers under you made breakfast on their slanted deck not enjoyable. If you're not into stairs and tight places this isn't a place for you. You get your money worth on a low price. It was clean I'll give it that. This is a perfect spot for a single traveler!

The location to Kona and Magic sands beach is great. Anything you need for cooking and the beach is there. The unit itself needs updating. The extra tall vanity with the vessel sink makes it really tough for a shorter person. I'm 6 foot and it was awkward for me. My 5'3" gal, it was an obstacle. The starter pack is just that...the bare minimum, so bring your extra shampoo, toilet paper and paper towels. The starter set isn't based on the days stayed. One day or 9 days it's the same amount. We bought two extra 4pks of tp and left what wasn't used. Overall well worth the money.

Everything was fine.....with the exception to the front door. It became impossible to use the key to open the door. Needs to be replaced. We had to leave the front door unlocked and locked the screen door only. We felt a little nervous about doing that.....Prop. Mgr. said he was going to replace it ?

We were very satisfied with our stay at Kona Shores. The pool and ocean view was perfect to watch the sunset. Our room had everything it needed and more (soap, shampoo, razor, and more like scuba gear and a cooler and beach towels)! They have ice trays and a filtered pitcher and pot, pans, and salt and pepper which was great to be able to make food at our own place and eat on the patio. 10/10 recommend staying here. The trolley comes by every hour to get you to beaches or down town and the closest beach is walking distance for sure!

We had requested for an early check-in (well in advance) as we were arriving early on Island and we were not comfortable driving around with our personal items exposed. I provided my contact # and advised that I am faster communicating via text. It would have been nice to have any contact, text or email, whether this request could have been fulfilled. My husband kept pressing me to check my email(s) while grocery shopping and while we were having lunch.
We didn't have any issues with any other tenants. There were a couple of noise issues (not by us) but it passed.
We had an issue with the a/c unit, but it was quickly resolved. Thank you!
We wished that there were additional kitchen amenities provided such as, saran wrap, ziplock bags, foil, microwave cover (to cover food when reheating), and (any) condiments. We understand that COVID safety is #1, but these little things, especially non perishable items could have been used by us.
We wanted to utilize that BBQ area, but we were not prepared for a charcoal operated grill.
My teenage son, slept on the sofa bed (no complaints from him) but we couldn't locate additional pillow covers for the extra pillows.
Thank you for a wonderful week back on the Big Island and we truly enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our stay and the property management was really attentive and easy to communicate with. If I had one suggestion, it would be to pull out the carpet and put in tile or something. With the heat and humidity here the carpet always felt “damp”. Otherwise the place was great, nice view, nice fans, and it was quiet! Thanks again for your hospitality!

Big Island Getaway
