Very peaceful, an experience that I will definitely recommend to friends

The unexpected steps were a bit of a pain, prior knowledge would have been nice

The location apart from the steep climb was peaceful.

The yurt was described as glamping! No electricity, furniture that appeared to have been rescued from a skip and a dangerous pathway to the facilities.

Clean, comfortable and in the most beautiful spot, surrounded by the forest of Dean. Wildlife every where...perfect. Lovely owners , who are there if you need anything.

Gorgeous location - really comfy, clean yurt and everything we needed for our stay. We especially loved the chickens, and relaxing in the hammocks! Thanks for a lovely stay, we would love to visit again.

Peaceful

Got a punctured tyre, difficult to sort.

The yurt was beautiful and the facilities excellent. it was toasty as to be expected in a heat wave! The views were magnificent and it was very peaceful. Hosts were very hospitable and helpful.

Would be no good for someone with limited mobility. It would have been good to have some more comfortable seating outside. Loved the chickens but tended to pester for food. The lady gave us some corn to distract them but they were more interested in our food!

Novel. Beautiful location and handy for exploring the area. Very quiet. Cosy but suprisingly spacious. Lovely circular walk along the ridge behind the Yurt. From the ridge there are great views across the Severn estuary and a myriad of enticing tracks leading off into the forest. Stayed for two nights and saw wild boar and boarlets in the woods nearby (twice), as well as fox and woodpeckers. Can highly reccomend savouring a morning cuppa watching the sunrise with trilling blackbirds and song thrush and the sounds of the valley awakening below. It rained one morning and was suprisingly quiet inside. Thinking about a autumn return to see the change in the forest and try the log burner.

At the age of 60 I finally got my wish to sleep in a yurt ! Only problem was, I also wanted to sleep in the tree house ! Such a beautiful area on the edge of the forest in a superb garden with fireplace and hammocks plus a covered eating area. The separate bathroom and kitchen were immaculate as was the beautiful yurt. We did not want to leave.

We love to stay in a yurt. excellent location, exceptionally clean and comfortable. Beautiful decor inside was in keeping with yurt. Cost and warm and comfortable. A truly lovely yurt, would stay again. Kitchen and bathroom had everything you could need. attention to detail very good.

From car was sloping gravel track, across wet grass to path. Not a complaint as it was clearly mentioned in review. And got used to it and was only really tricky in the rain! But worth mentioning if not able bodied.

The location was incredible. Right next to the Forest of Dean and 2 minutes away Blakney village. I woke up the first morning to Deer in the garden. The Yurt had a fire in the middle of the room which kept us very warm and there were candles to keep the room well lit. (Romantic). The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We met the cleaner on the last day and again very friendly. We will be back in the summer.

Only thing I would say is it could do with some more lighting around the path to the kitchen and campfire.

Fantastic yurt with private bathroom and kitchenette facilities. 10-15 minute drive from Lydney town centre.

Clean, great communication.

The yurt is located is part of the owners garden, but is private and secure. There are lovely views from the covered seating area and yurt balcony across the valley. It is quiet and peaceful but not remote, with easy access to lots of local activities. We enjoyed days out walking in the woods, taking a ride on the steam train, exploring castles and visiting amazing pubs. You can also access the Forest of Dean directly from the yurt, which is handy. Our children loved exploring the treehouse and having space to roam freely, within the secure garden area. Very comfy beds in the yurt and it was a bonus to have sole use of the facilities, including a proper toilet, shower, fridge, electricity, running water etc. The hosts were attentive and kindly provided us with wood every evening. We used the outdoor fire area to cook dinner every evening and toast marshmallows, which was really enjoyable. The hosts also put up the hammocks for us and mowed the grass shortly after our arrival. We spoke to the owners a few times and they were very welcoming, yet allowed us our own space throughout our stay. We would not hesitate to recommend this place to couples or families. Great value for money and plenty to do nearby, but equally enjoyable relaxing in the garden and beside the fire. Thank you for a lovely holiday- none of us wanted to leave! 😊

Perhaps a little more storage in the yurt, but maybe that’s because we brought too much stuff!

It was wonderful...the view, the yurt, the hosts.... So peaceful, just what we needed for an escape away

Maybe one day the gravel path from the car, could become steps. Maybe a microwave, although the little stove was great Maybe a bedside table both sides of the bed

Our family loved the yurt! Lovely rustic kitchen and eating area, toilets, showers, outdoor fire oven, and even a tree house to play in! A fabulous stay in a beautiful area with amazing views. We also liked the fact that you could just step out and go for a walk into the forest. The first night we were there we saw some wild deers behind the garden. The hosts were friendly and very helpful.

Loved everything, the only small thing that could be improved is the car parking area.
