The location makes it all. 3 streets removed from the beach, with a good restaurant nearby, a lovely bakery - go early for excellent ciapatta-, all decent and affordable. Marta is a friendly owner, ponctual, good communication, she handed us the keys and indicated us where we could find a parking space for free. Luggage can be downloaded in front of the property, and then it is hunting time for a parking space! Be aware that in high season, you may have to park quite far from the apartment. We found a space more than a kilometer away - 20 min walk- close to a supermarket. The apartment is on the first floor - 1 flight of stairs-, simply furnished, we didn't use the kitchen except for breakfast, 1 fan in the main room, 1 fan in the bedroom. The bedroom is comfortable, the bathroom simple. Sestri Levante is easy to reach and fun at night with its funky streets.

The fans! They are too weak and we suffered from the heat at night. We had taken one with us in our car, and we were happy to have it to cool off our grand child that was sleeping on the sofa. Be rigorous with keeping windows and shutters closed during the day so that to keep the heat out. Open at night. Street lights can be a bother. What is missing is an AC, really. The beach is of pebbles and we found it painful to get in and out of the water.

Marta was very accomodating. We showed up much later than expected, and there was an issue with our booking in which our kids weren’t counted in the booking. She got more sheets and towels straight away, even though it was late, and was very kind. She was responsive through the trip for any questions or repairs. We liked having the washer to wash our clothes. It’s on the balcony and there is a line to dry the clothes. Parking was ok during the week. There are spots across the church square with blue lines that are free during the week. We were always able to find a spot. We weren’t there over the weekend so I can’t comment on how it would be friday-Sunday. Beds were comfy Property about 10 min to Sestri Levante, which it a really cute town with a great beach and lots of good restaurants. Check out Turin for dinner and K2 gelateria for gelato.

Accommodations were pretty basic, room was a little stuffy when we first checked in. We wished there was AC and WIFI. The temperature was fine with the windows open at night and we weren’t there during the day so it wasn’t a big deal. There is a very loud church bell that rings from 6 am to midnight. Which I both liked and disliked, only because it woke my child up too early. There is a beach walking distance from property and a few bakeries and restaurants. The water is very beautiful but the waves were too big for kids and there is a big shipyard on the beach. This is why we drove to Sestri Levante. Overall the place was good for our needs but we thought the price was a little high for what it was.

The beach is a few steps from the appartment, Marta brought the keys within a minute, she was very friendly and helpfull, great to have the balcony, parking available very close for free from Mo - Fri, train station to Cinque terre just 1km away...
