The weather,we expected more snow

perfect location. secluded garden for children. spacious layout for 2 families.

there was nothing we didn’t like. the only minor thing was there was little toilet roll and fairy liquid so we had to purchase more. but it wasn’t. problem and left it for the next people to use.

The location was excellent and the directions and information provided before arrival made check in very easy. The host made sure we had everything we needed and was easily contactable. With four adults sharing the accommodation it still didn't feel crowded. In an area where accommodation is limited and many holiday cottages are unrealistically priced, this property was very fairly priced and offered facilities just as good, if not better in some respects, than more expensively priced accommodation in the area.

location was good, quiet area.... grounds were large and well kept ... Property was functional and did what we needed but very disappointing

Parts of the interior is old, dated, tired, shabby. It was somewhere to stay that was it in my opinion. I was embarrassed to welcome my friends on the Thursday. Fixtures & fittings were poor, chairs tables, sofa were old. Beds weren't the most comfortable and upstairs beds were camp beds. No curtains on some windows, what were there were functional. The bedroom furniture was terrible obviously they have had guests before who may have caused damage so they have russelled up old drawers, hangers and metal trays to put your stuff, not very attractive. Kitchen towels were torn and frayed, and even laundry basket was all broken. Appears no money has been spent in a long time on this property

Just ideal for us and our family of ages 5 months - 79 years. The property has everything you would need - super kid friendly too and feels like a real family home. Would highly recommend and will most likely stay here next time. The owner Matt was really helpful and communicative.

Quiet location, a short walk from the town centre. Plenty of room for 6 of us. Warm, comfortable and spacious.

Fantastic house with loads of space for a young family. Located down a quiet street but a short walk from the centre of aviemore. Host and house manager could not have been more helpful and communication was fantastic. Aviemore is a family favourite and this will be the first property I check for future visits.

The home was a short walk to the centre of Aviemore so we rarely needed the car. It was clean, spacious and warm. The football net within the back garden was a nice touch for the children.

Great location - so close to the centre of town without the noise of the main road. Nice neighbourhood and with plenty of parking for my better half and our four boys.

Me; The quilt covers are tired and the clips broken leaving the quilt covers unable to be be clipped together. Just felt ropey and unsightly. Owner - I will invest on new mattresses when funds allow and new linen is on order. Me; The downstairs, rear bedroom that we stayed in was minus a wardrobe door - with a crappy set of drawers stood on two pieces of random wood in order that I could use the bottom drawer? Old tissues under the drawers and a pair of black socks (that didn’t belong to me) remain there. Owner - Noted. These socks and tissues were missed during changeover I assume. The back two bedrooms will be renovated in low season when labour and funds are available. In the mean time they are functional but I agree need renovating. Me; I fell over in the bathroom downstairs - in the bath whilst having a shower - no rubber mat. Owner - I am sorry about that. There are foot grippers on the bath surface. I have never had an issue and used the shower daily in lockdown. Me; The kitchen is dated, Not enough plates? Electric whisk with no attachments? A rusty wok with half the coating missing, knives so blunt I had to ask to buy a sharpener. The pedal bin under the sink - broken (see attached pic). Owner - The house is not brand new or newly renovated. The booking rate reflects this. The kitchen is well equipped. A hand held whisk is provided. The wok will be replaced. Additional pots and pans were provided up to a certain limit at short notice”. Me; In the living room - Two green chairs, one dirty couch (see attached pic) and one filthy chair (see attached pic). Nothing matched and it felt as though it had been thrown together. Owner - New living room furniture will be provided when funds allow. Again this is not a 5 star property and the rate reflects this. Me; Incomplete ‘Board Games’ & an old pair of grey pants in one of the drawers? Owner - These were complete at start of season. I noticed the marble game was used and complete".

Location was perfect, beautiful walks couple of minutes walk from the property. Central to Aviemore. The house was bigger than the we expected, all the bedrooms were a good size. Lovely big kitchen. The garden was fantastic all fenced in so could leave the back door open for the kids and dogs entered through a utility area which would be ideal if the weather isn’t great! Ideal seating area to eat outside.

Great location and a very short walk into the town. House was very well equipped with all the basic amenities you need and had a good 'flow' to it with a great kitchen/diner where we spent lots of time chatting and playing games etc. It was lovely and warm and the wood burner in the lounge was superb too adding an extra layer of comfort and warmth to the evenings. The outside space was great too though we did not have much opportunity to use it but imagine it would be ideal in the warmer/brighter months. Communication before/during/after with the owner was spot on which made you feel welcome and added to the whole experience.
