The property itself is stunning, with the lake and mountains, making it a perfect retreat. The house is not only beautiful but also comfortable, offering everything needed for a relaxing stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and delightful getaway. It’s a place I would happily return to!

We had an excellent 4 day stay at HoneyBear! We came to see our daughter graduate from Bennington College and Linda Jane left some graduation celebration items (my daughter is using the Class of 2026 cup right now) which was very thoughtful. While graduation was rainy and cold, the other days of our stay we had wonderful breakfasts on the deck over looking the pond and enjoying the baby geese swimming by. My only issues were the lack of bedroom doors...especially on the first floor. It was a little uncomfortable for my parents and my father-in-law. So grateful to have the half bath in the loft. We were good going up and down the ladder, but in the middle of night....Super comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, wish we had booked for the week!

This cottage is the perfect home-base for exploring southern Vermont. The personal touches and smallest details LJ has added to the home make it an exceptional stay. LJ is a fantastic host and very responsive to all communication, even quickly helping us when we had a user error with the lock (100% my fault). We all agreed that we got the best sleep we ever have in any rental we've stayed in. The loft is the best cozy cave ever! We are already looking forward to staying here again and continuing our explorations of the area.
