Set amongst a large property with palm woods, vineyards, prickly pears and olive trees near the majestic Temple of Segesta and the SPA Terme Segestane, Egesta country house, plus a separate summer house, is a small, and very peaceful corner in the beautiful valley laying south of Calatafimi-Segesta, surrounded by 20.000 sq.meters of cultivated land with the kind of quiet that inspires complete and total relaxation. Perfect for smartworking and families.

A lot of organic fruits (pears, figs, raisins, prickly pears, apples, pomegranates, oranges, depending on season) in the property, depending on season: collect as many you want!
The main house has an open plan living room with kitchen, two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living room/kitchen leads directly onto a covered terrace with a hanging bed, a barbecue, wood fire oven for pizza, bread or meat, a large dining table.
A 50 meters path brings to the summer house, with a double bedroom and a bathroom, and a little terrace over the rural panorama.
Car rental necessary.
You could spend your time just walking around in the property, or laying in the provided hammocks, as the place is perfect for quiet and meditation.

Ten minutes to the archaeological site of Segesta, with the temple (one of the best preserved in the world) and the amphitheater overlooking the landscape, offering a dense theatre summer season that includes night until dawn pieces.
19 mins. to the SPA Terme Segestane with hot water pool,
40 mins to the SPA Terme Acqua Pia in Montevago,
one hour to the archaeological Greek site of Selinunte, which include a whole town with three temples,
45 minutes to the Phoenician archaeological site of Mothia, a small island set in the middle of the 'Stagnone' lagoon, approachable from the mainland with a characteristic Sicilian boat. The Island was the sacred burial ground for an ancient culture and was discovered by the English family Whitaker in the eighteen century. The museum hold magnificent artifacts, beautifully displayed, but he whole island is worth exploration and discovery.
45 minutes to the medieval village of Erice, with its narrow stone alleyways and its Punic castle.
45 minutes to the spectacular 'Tonnara di Scopello' setting to film and fictions.
one hour to the splendid white beach of San Vito Lo Capo.
45 minutes to the Lo Zingaro Nature Reserve - one of the best hiking trails in Sicily.
45 minutes to Marsala, on the south coast, where you can see a perfectly maintained Punic ship, recently found in the Stagnone.
52 minutes to Mazara del Vallo, where is an important Greek bronze statue, the Dancing Satyr.

Best summer opportunities, apart full use of the pool: Greek theatre season in Segesta, and in particular the “till dawn” pieces, where the magnificent landscape will progressively discover.
Early hikes at the near wood Bosco Baronia or the fantastic path of the Zingaro natural reserve near Castellammare del Golfo. The salt collecting at the Stagnone (lagoon near Marsala) in front of Mothia, the island you must visit and the aperitif time at Mamma Caura, the bar nearby, offering a fantastic view ov the sunset over Egadi Islands.
Best autumn opportunity: take part to the olive picking in our surrounding property!
