Overall, our stay was enjoyable in this spacious property. The only downside was that the neighbors dog did bark a fair bit.

Nice property; nice neighborhood, conenient to groceries, and freeways. Was missing some expectations on blankets, linen. One overifing concern was the internal security cameras upstairs and downstairs (i.e. was anybody watching and/or listening).

Clean home with plenty of space for everyone. Fenced yard for the dogs too. Even a discount at the home owners restaurant and it was delicious.

We had a complicated issue, and with communication, we figured it out with the host.

This is our 2nd time staying here for more than a month. It is a nice home and works well for both of us working from home all week. It is a nice neighborhood and convenient to everything we need.

What a wonderful location and quiet neighborhood for our stay! We had plenty of room in this house and everything in the kitchen was well stocked! The hosts were great and responsive to our questions. We highly recommend this property!

We gathered family for a wedding in Des Moines. Home was clean and roomy. All amenities were up to date and easy to find. Fenced in yard for our dog. Highly recommend!

The house upon arrival was not as clean as we left it. The entry door glass hadn’t been cleaned and dead flies lined the patio slider doors. The house is adequate but certainly outdated. The master shower curtain had not been cleaned in forever fortunately there was a large bottle of bleach that I used nearly half of on the curtain to clean it. The neighbor directly to the south keeps TWO large and LOUD dogs in their garage. Each morning at 6:20 and every evening at about 10:30 they would tie them to their basketball hoop adjacent to this property’s south side. The master bedroom is directly above them. They YIP, BARK, and GROWL THE ENTIRE TIME THEY ARE TIED UP. Usually they take them back in after 15 to 20 minutes. It was so bad I considered calling the ARL which my wife talked me out of. We told the owner the very first day and he shrugged and said “well we have only had one complaint”. Maybe they should spend a night. If you need to be up by 6:20 and don’t mind going to bed after 11 this place is adequate. We were very happy to leave.

The house was just as described. The basement bedroom was huge and the 3 upstairs bedrooms were a nice size. The couch was super comfy!

Great open floor plan, so family in the kitchen can visit with people in the dining and living room.

We needed a four bed house for the week as we attended the Knoxville National Races, and this place was perfect. The house was roomy, clean, all amenities, and close to everything we needed (restaurants, grocery stores, gasoline). Would definitely stay here next time.

We enjoyed staying in the house. We had 4 adults and 4 children in our group. We had plenty of room to move around. We were in Des Moines for the national softball tournament.

This was a great location to get to downtown Des Moines for the Saturday farmers market and art show. Quiet and well maintained neighborhood. Lots of room in the living room for our group of 5. Price was reasonable. Owner was responsive to the couple maintenance needs.

Our daughter's kitchen in Urbandale was being remodeled. We needed a place to celebrate our grandson confirmation. The open floor plan of this property worked very well for meals and relaxing with our group of 10 family and friends. Only four of us stayed at the property.

Property was ideal for out trip, and visiting children. Only issue is the water heater seems to be set very high. Almost burned myself in shower trying to adjust water temp. Also, could use an antenna to be able to get local channels on the tv.

not enough towels and wash cloths the oven in the kitchen was filthy. A railing is needed by the front steps. The furniture was very uncomfortable. the TV did not get local channels. Could not watch football or the world series. We were not allowed access to the basement room. The house is in a nice neighborhood and is well taken care of.

We were looking for a place to stay for almost an month and this home was perfect. It was clean and comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. The wifi was strong, which may not sound important, but for two of us working from home full time, that mattered. The neighborhood was nice, close to a park and a walking trail. The hosts checked in several times to be sure we were doing ok and made themselves available if we needed something (which we didn't because this home was great).

She responded very quickly with a couple of her favorites. We ended up going to two of them and were very pleased with both. The morning (3am) of our arrival Joy was notified that one of her previous guest had tested positive for COVID. She did everything in her power to go over cdc recommendations and gave us some options. Rebooking for another date, cancel with a full refund or we could still come. We decided that we still wanted to come. After communicating back and forth , Joy said we could stay at one of her other properties for the first night if they weren’t able to get the extra deep cleaning done. As it turned out they had everything ready for us when we got there. We can’t say enough good things about Joy. She was extremely sorry about the situation but was extremely helpful and get us updated regularly. We had a great time pontooning (Saylorville Lake), Iowa Distillery, eating (Taki Japanese Restaurant-hibachi grill) and just enjoyed staying in and playing games!

Stayed for a long weekend. Perfect for our group of 5. Nice basement area. Good neighborhood, close to everything. Lots of nice extras in the kitchen. Is a pet friendly house - not ideal if you have allergies. Would recommend.
