What a beautiful home this. It is well-kept, has a well-stocked kitchen for cooking, and is 2 minutes from Carver’s Market. Everything about this space is welcoming down to the beach towels for the quarry, so much space to gather, and a gorgeous porch. The beds were so comfortable, especially the ones up the stairs from the laundry room. This was such a special experience. It was like visiting Grandma’s: everything you need and comfort no matter what you do. I cannot wait to enjoy an iced tea on that beautiful porch again! Thank you, Shirley’s House. You made us feel so welcome.

We loved our stay on Vinalhaven. The house is charming and well equipped. Two bedrooms are accessible by one set of stairs and the other two are reached by a different set of stairs, so going from one to the other means going downstairs, through the house and back up the other stairs. Not a problem for adults, but if you have kids who may need you in the night, it's something to be aware of. But the location is great! Walkable to town and easy drives to gorgeous walks and views of the water.

This was really like staying in Shirley’s home. A well stocked kitchen, plenty of space for the 5 of us, accessible to everything. Even herbs growing in a big outdoor pot! The house was clean and very comfortable. 2 minute walk to the harbor, a short bike ride to the quarries.
