We had a wonderful stay at Culburra, very relaxing and great location close to the beach, also not too far for visiting other places such as Hyams beach and surrounds.
Kids and pup loved the big green backyard and spent the mornings exploring.
Helen was a pleasure to deal with and has really thought of all the little getaway touches such as a great range of board games, DVDs and the smart tv.
Thank you Helen for a wonderful stay.

The property included a queen bed, double-single bunk and separate sofa in an outside bungalow. Our small dog came with us and enjoyed the beautiful lawns. The floors were easy to keep clean and had comfortable lounges. We had a lovely stay.

Our family of 5 and kelpie dog had a lovely stay at Bluejay Cottage. We had a mixture of fine weather and rainy days but this did not stop us having a great time, with space for everyone and a fun selection of board games to keep us entertained. Helen was a lovely host who communicated details in a clear and timely manner. Thanks for providing such a comfortable place to relax and unwind.

Lovely cottage
We stayed at Blue Jay in mid winter and we were very warm and comfortable. Would love to come again in summer! The house was well equipped and very comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

This was our first holiday with our dogs. They loved being able to run on the dog friendly beach (4pm to 8 am) which is a 10-15 min walk from this property. The house is a traditional older style beach house and there are some nice touches like original artwork on the walls and a funky 70s (or maybe 60s) style dining table with a spotty top. The place was literally spotlessly clean when we arrived. Beds, mattresses and bedding appear new and provided a very comfortable night sleep. Only downsides are that you need to drive to shops and restaurants, and that the main beach at culburra is only patrolled over the summer holidays.

Great little house for a short break
Lovley clean house, extremely comfy bed & ecletic selection of DVD's - which were appreciated as the weather was not on our side. Pet friendly yard with lovely birds and neighbours.

Home away from home
Perfect pet friendly holiday home. We loved our time at Blue Jay - the house is very comfortable and thoughtfully furnished, in a great location and close to everything the area has to offer.

A very peaceful place for a weekend away
We very much enjoyed staying here, as it was so peaceful. We loved the magpies and birds and trees and a relaxed and very cosy feel. The place was somewhat smaller than what I imagined based on the website photos that must have been taken with wide angle camera and it was great that there was the extra space in the garage studio, as it would have been a hard fit for our two teenager daughters to share the bunk bed in the small kids room. It's a great place for a family of four but I don't think you could fit 7 people there. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay very much.

This is the quiet Aussie beach getaway we enjoyed as kids. Fur-babies loved the backyard. Simply, clean and tidy. Perfect for a beach getaway. Would stay there again.

Great place for four legged family members
Property was as described, clean and comfortable. Throw rugs provided for the lounges for pets to recline are a nice thought....just like home! Yard is fenced and safe for rover to make his night calls to roam the garden.
Woken in the mornings to a chorus of noisy Magpies in the garden and at the back door. So nice, inviting themselves inside to steal doggies treats.
We found the pantry void of any 'left overs' or condiments due to COVID safe practices so during these times I recommend you wing by on the way in to the Cullbura shops and Woolies to top up with sugar, butter and other essentials, only a two minute drive from the house regardless.
Dog friendly off leash all day areas and curfew zones are just a short stroll form the house at the main Culburra surf beach. Most beaches have at least on leash areas.
It was unfortunate we arrived on the eve of a cold change in weather. No fishing or swimming, bloody cold and windy which prevailed until the day before we checked out and of course it was 27degrees that day.
All said and done we did enjoy the stay, and would gladly welcome another break at Blue Jay Cottage.

Birds galore
Lovely big trees in the garden. Great for dog. Place open, light filled and spacious. Careful colour coordination and furnishings worked well for this era house.

Classic holiday house
This is a great holiday house in a peaceful location. Beautiful birds and trees everywhere and close to a terrific beach that you can enjoy with doggo. The house is comfortable and has everything you need.

Comfortable and clean
Situated closer to Orient Point than Culburra, this well-enclosed property was suitable for our little pet. Everything was clean, neat and tidy. The spare toilet in the laundry was a bonus.
