One of two delightful cottages within the beautiful grounds of Cusgarne House.
Uno dei due deliziosi cottage all'interno degli splendidi giardini di Cusgarne House, The Threshing Barn e Church Close Cottage sono edifici restaurati del XIX secolo nel tranquillo villaggio di Cusgarne, a soli 15 minuti di auto dalla costa.

Al piano inferiore, le due camere da letto hanno entrambe un bagno privato con il padrone che è una camera matrimoniale e la seconda una doppia, perfetta per le famiglie.

Another lovely stay at The Threshing Barn. My family enjoy knowing the creature comforts that The Threshing Barn offers. Log burner, comfortable seating, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, coffee machine and washing machine. The bedrooms are perfect, both with en-suite bathroom facilities. And of course, the wifi is very convenient although I understand some people may prefer to be away from this.
Locally and within walking distance, you have a wonderful, friendly pub and a great organic farm shop.
We love staying at the property for the convenience of it all.

The Threshing barn is set in a lovely village location perfect for anyone wanting a peaceful holiday. You do need to be comfortable driving the country roads of Cornwall staying here! It is about 20 mins to Truro and Falmouth and also to Porthtowan beach where you can book surfing lessons, there are cafes/restaurants, beach shops and toilets.
As a family of 4 (children aged 15 and 12) the size of the barn was ideal and with 2 bathrooms there were no arguments! I would suggest some hooks to be added in the bathrooms for dressing gowns/ towels to be hung. There were plenty of coat hangers in the wardrobes. Beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped - although I would recommend the addition of some of some metal oven trays.
The outside space is lovely and well-maintained. The patio area has seating and a BBQ - unfortunately the weather didn't permit us to enjoy the outdoor area! There is also a car port (2 car spaces) and games room with a table tennis table. This area is shared with the cottage on the grounds.
We had an issue with the oven the day after we arrived and customer services were very efficient and it was sorted the next working day. The only negative point that I would mention about our stay is that the level of cleaning was not to the standard that I would expect, with cobwebs in corners and dust behind furniture and down the side of wardrobes etc. I passed this information on to customer services and I am sure that the house-keeper will have rectified it for future guests. It didn't stop us from having a wonderful holiday at the Threshing Barn.

A lovely property but really could do with some shelving in the bathrooms.. two teenagers come with lots of toiletries, likewise so do adults and it would be really helpful for somewhere to put toothbrushes, makeup etc as the mirrors are in the bathrooms
It is a shame the outdoor dining is by the bins too
