Immersa nella storia locale, questa dimora di riferimento locale fu costruita da Andrew Campbell, un colono scozzese del 1850 che iniziò un'attività di legname e ferramenta nei primi anni del 1860.
Le origini di questa casa sono di natura romantica e tragica, si dice che Campbell abbia costruito questa dimora per attirare il suo unico vero amore e moglie, la figlia del poeta Robert Burns. Purtroppo è morta solo due anni dopo essere venuta a Castlemaine dalla Scozia. Campbell trascorse il resto dei suoi anni in questa grande casa.
Questa casa spaziosa e immacolata ha 8 grandi camere da letto, con letti king-size in 7 e una regina in 1. Tutti e 7 i letti king possono essere divisi in singoli.

Magnificent!!! So comfortable, spotlessly clean, beautiful decor… we loved our cousins get together. Thankyou so much.

Campbell house is spread over three levels. Having two toddlers meant a bit of hand holding up and down stairs but that’s part of the adventure of this house. It’s been beautifully decorated and we loved our stay here. Kitchen/dining is upstairs, so a bit away from the main action but we got used to it. Backyard was fantastic for a kick of the footy with all the kids. Overall, enjoy a wonderful stay in a place that offers magnificent views and space to enjoy a great few days away in Castlemaine.

Campbell House is fantastic option for a large group with all facilities excellent. Love indoors and outdoor eating and sitting areas. Highly recommend this accommodation and we will book it again.

We were privileged to stay at Campbell House over a weekend. This is an iconic home, beautifully and tastefully furnished. Renovated with the retention of lovely period features, it offers space within a number of independent living zones. While preserving an atmosphere from a bygone era, Campbell House features all the necessary 21st century luxuries - large screen TVs, WiFi, stereos, reliable hot showers and cloud-like beds. This property provides the pinnacle in relaxation and will not disappoint even the most fastidious guest. A highly recommended stay!

We were privileged to stay at Campbell House over a weekend. This is an iconic home, beautifully and tastefully furnished. we enjoyed our stay in this immaculate property. we were 8 women all of us had our own rooms with bathrooms and toilet on all levels, great kitchen with long table to set everyone. No complaints would highly recommend. Not suitable for people who cannot handle stairs
