Hotel Hanseat Stralsund

Small hotel at the outskirts of downtown, but at a good location. We arrived in the evening, just before they closed the reception. We had a good night sleep. The breakfast was good, the beds are comfy, the staff was very nice, the parking was right at the hotel, and overall everything was clean (with one exception, see below). We first actually wanted to stay one night more, but they were booked out for the next night, so we had to move to another hotel.

The biggie, is that the shower head seemingly wasn't properly cleaned for seemingly quite some, and had black grime and lime growing on it. We only noticed it in the morning, and we were quite surprised, as the rest of the room was very clean and looked well maintained. We signaled this to the staff, and they were very receptive. They apologized and were offered some compensation for this, which we accepted. I hope they fix this issue, because it would have been an almost perfect score otherwise, we liked everything else.

Everything was great—really clean and comfortable.

There were occasional loud motorbikes at night and in the morning.

Very nice neighbourhood and walk to the center of Stralsund. Friendly staff members and comfortable rooms.

Friendly staff, location , bike rental shop right across the street
