I would like to begin by highlighting the positive aspects of my experience. The hostel’s location is really very good, especially because of its proximity to Termini Station, which makes getting around Rome and traveling to other cities extremely convenient. The neighborhood also offers plenty of restaurants, cafés, and services, and it brings together people from many different countries, cultures, and walks of life. Personally, I really enjoy this diversity and the incredible cultural mix around Termini, because I believe it is also part of the experience of being in a great city like Rome. I would also like to give special recognition to Josh, who was definitely one of the highlights of my stay. He is extremely friendly, helpful, polite, and genuinely committed to keeping the space as clean, organized, and comfortable as possible. He is an excellent example of hospitality, and I want to make it absolutely clear that none of the criticism I will mention below is directed at him. My comments are not meant simply as complaints. I am sharing them because I believe constructive criticism can help the hostel improve. I truly believe this place has the potential to provide a much better experience for its guests, and that is precisely why I feel it is important to also describe the problems I encountered.

Now, regarding the negative aspects of my stay, several issues need serious attention from management. First, I received only one towel for an entire week, despite paying more than €300 for my stay, which I found unacceptable and inconsiderate. There were also only two bathrooms available, and one had a blocked sink that was never repaired during my entire stay, leaving me practically dependent on the other bathroom. Maintenance in general needs improvement; when I tried to open the window, the curtain actually fell down. The most concerning issue, however, was security. An energy drink disappeared from the shared refrigerator, and several belongings went missing from our room: one roommate lost a pair of sneakers, another had earphones taken, and I had a bottle of perfume and even two packs of mint drops taken. I understand that management cannot control every guest’s behavior, but when several people have belongings disappear, the hostel should take the matter seriously and consider stronger preventive measures. I am sharing these points as constructive criticism because, with better maintenance, more attention to basic guest needs, and improved security, I believe the hostel could provide a much better experience.
