The cottage was in a great location. We were able to walk to Ephraim (and also Peninsula State Park as advertised) BUT I would not do it at night as it was on the side (no sidewalk) of a very busy and dark (at night) highway. Even during the day parts of it were a bit scary. The cottage itself was lovely. Very clean, had everything we could need and cozy. HOWEVER, what caught our eye when booking was the "2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom" part, but that meant only if you booked BOTH units of the duplex. Obviously we missed the part that said we had to book 2 units to get that, so we were surprised when we arrived to find only 1 bed and bath. And, it wasn't even a bedROOM....it was a sectioned off part of the main room with a bed in it. Essentially a 1 room cottage. So I feel the advertising for this was a bit deceiving, and for the price it wasn't what we expected. But my long time (25+ years) friend and I made it work (one slept on the sofa) for the 3 nights we were there. Much longer than that, though, would have been an issue for 2 non-couple people. We did find that the location in relation to everything we were doing was great...kind of right in the middle...so we didn't have to drive far to get to our activities. I would absolutely stay in this area again, maybe even at this cottage with my husband. The property was very quiet, and there even was an area to have a fire outside, although we were not able to take advantage of it this time. HOWEVER, the price now seems a bit high based on the 1 bed/bath situation, so I would probably look around a bit more next time as there are a lot of properties in this area and we might be able to find something even better at this price point.

The advertising was a bit deceptive. It was advertised as 2 bed / 2 bath, but that was only if you rented both units of the duplex. It wasn't real clear that the price was for only one unit. I guess it was our fault for not reading the "fine" print, but I still feel the headline was deceptive.

The cabin was perfect for the two of us, the kitchen had everything you need to cook meals. The cabin itself was very quiet you didn't hear anything from your neighbors or anyone else. The bed was a little on the hard side but any place you stay isn't going to be as comfortable as your own bed. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked immediately for next year. The pictures and description online do not describe all the amenities they provide. If you want to have a fire they even provide the wood and news paper and lighter. The location is perfect your minutes away from fish creek and down town ephraim. We are avid bike riders and were able to ride everywhere safely and having direct access to peninsula sate park is such a bonus. We put 30 miles on a day just exploring. Travis the property manager is excellent and responds immediately to any questions you may have or help you may need. We were even able to check in early. If you want a quiet little cabin and want to be able to cook for yourself to get out of the hustle and bustle of the busy down towns this is the right place to be.

Nothing absolutely nothing

We especially appreciated the close proximity to Peninsula State Park. After many years of camping with our friends, this was our first year using outside lodging. (We have chosen to no longer use our aging trailer so far away from home.) The wooded area around the cottage gave us a "camping" feel and we were super close to the park to meet up with our friends still camping.

We had trouble connecting to cable TV, but that really wasn't an issue. After all, TV hasn't been a part of our camping experience. We did watch a movie on ROKU which was nice.

The cabin was very nice. It was clean and well appointed.

There was a slight musty or moldy odor that was noticeable when first entering the cabin. The booking information said there was a queen sized bed, it was a double bed. Fortunately the couch was comfortable.
