The Tytherington

Staff were LOVELY - especially Jessica on reception who came to find us when our room was ready and was super friendly and helpful throughout. We loved the pool - clean, warm and the lifeguard got some floats out for the kids in the pool to play with but still left two lanes for swimming. The room was great - a good size, comfy beds and a clean modern bathroom with decent shower. We ate in the restaurant for a snacky dinner - my daughter loved the pizza.

The restaurant was a bit basic for food but we were after cheap(ish) and cheerful and so it was fine. We were advised you cannot use the leisure facilities after check out at 11am - the ability to stay for a couple of hours longer would have been nice. We don't know whether you can use them before your 3pm check in time.

The staff where lovely , the full hotel is spotless and the beds are super comfy

If I am being picky I would say the breakfast let it down - there was an option to get breakfast in bed for an small supplement so I would probably opt for that next time but overall it was a lovely stay

Looks brand new. very helpful staff

Not much really.

Bathroom was clean and seemed quite new, with decent fixtures. Very nice housekeeping staff.

The room was disappointing: when we arrived there was rubbish on the terrace (though it was quickly cleared away when I let reception know). Terrible lighting in the bathroom and by the mirror outside the bathroom - we couldn’t even see properly to do our make up so had to use my compact mirror and go by the window. Pillows were underfilled and the filing was lumpy so they weren’t comfortable to sleep on. Breakfast was ok but very ordinary and not great quality food. Pool was pretty decent, but there was really limited space to swim properly, especially as a whole lane (out of just two) was taken up by someone teaching a private swimming lesson.
