Good location. Very clean. The outside of the building is not great, but the view is beautiful and the inside of the condo is well decorated and nice.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The interior of the condo was nice and it had everything that is needed except for a hairdryer. The exterior of the building needs cleaning and refreshing. The key fobs needed for entry to AND exit from the beach were especially annoying and since we only had 1 fob and a possibility of 6 people in the condo was highly inconvenient. I would suggest a key code instead of the fob. The water went out in the entire building while we were there. I used the “text only” to Benchmark and no one ever answered my text message. Luckily it was only off a few hours. Inwould have to think hard about renting a condo again that Benchmark managed.

Reviewer Comments: Having stayed on 30A several times, I loved the experience of staying on a quieter road right off the main road (30A). 106 was beautifully decorated, very clean, comfortable and had a well stocked kitchen in regards to pots/pans/utensils! View was incredible, plants around the balcony could use a trim, but we enjoyed the view immensely! Very comfy bed and the condo was plenty of room for two adults and our suitcases (which we put on the bunks!) Wifi worked great, I’m sure being in the off season helps! Past experience in the area, summer is a bit hit or miss on the wifi! Water was crystal clear and weather was beautiful! A few unexpected chilly days, but it was late October! Water was still quite warm and we swam, even rented paddle boards one day when the sea turtles were out swimming in the shallows. Benchmark is a wonderful rental company, highly recommend trusting your vacation stay with them! ! Pros: Super short walk to the beach! On the beach experience, just can’t beat it! Quiet, more private beach feel. Close to grocery, seaside, busier parts of town! Place to leave your chairs, beach things on the beach ramp which was super handy. Lots of bathroom towels, bed was comfy!Cons: The condo is absolutely amazing, but the walls are VERY thin. You pretty much hear every step, toilet flush, water running noise upstairs. Might bother some more than others. Definitely consider bringing a box fan if you need to drown out noise to sleep. Parking is a bit tight for big cars! You only have one option on beach chair/umbrella set up, you can not use your vacayzen credit. (Which wasn’t a big deal at all, just something I’d thought we’d use the credit for—- we ended up renting two chairs/umbrella that we were able to set up ourselves and it was perfectly good for us!) The property is uniquely located on beautiful beaches. Parking is a little tight, so having a large truck makes it somewhat difficult to fit.

The pictures online made it look like it was recently remodeled and in great shape. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The curtain rod in the living room was held together by packing tape. Many of the kitchen cabinets were broken or messed up. The kitchen supplies were terrible. We couldn’t even find a good pan to cook some eggs. Many of the plates and bowls were disgusting with food still on them even though they were in the cabinet. We had to go by paper products and utensils because of how gross it was. The broom was broken so the only way to clean was to sweep with our hands. There needs to be a lot of updates done to this unit. There was WAY too much furniture in the unit also. The dining room table was huge. We love Commodores Retreat as it’s so close to the beach and a great location. We will just have to pick a different unit next time.

The elevators were out and had been out for sometime. Also the grills by the pool were rusted out and actually removed during our stay. Hopefully they were going to replace. These were minor concerns and I am sure will be addressed. I thought our overall experience was great and I would recommend the Commodore's retreat 106 to anyone looking for a place that offers a good price and a great location.
