Katerina's Penthouse beautiful beach-side villa near Kalyves, Chania
Katerina è in piedi da solo e domina magnifiche vedute sulla baia di Souda. Questa struttura costruita in stile tradizionale si trova a breve distanza a piedi da una spiaggia tranquilla raggiungibile dalla proprietà tramite un sentiero privato attraverso le viti. È anche possibile camminare per 1/2 miglio fino a un kafenion tradizionale nella vicina Kalami. Alla casa si accede in auto tramite una corsia da Kalami.
Tra la fortezza turca di Izeddin e la strada costiera verso Kalives e Rethminon si trova Kalami con il suo caffè e una spiaggia sabbiosa isolata con un piccolo molo che offre opportunità di pesca. Kalives, con le sue taverne, la bellissima spiaggia di sabbia, i negozi, il supermercato, la banca e l'ufficio postale, è a soli 5 minuti di auto.
La parte principale della proprietà è l'ampio attico che ha due piani e ampi balconi da cui ammirare la vista sul mare.
L'arco cretese divide l'ampia sala da pranzo dalla zona giorno (con camino cretese) e la cucina completamente attrezzata. Piccolo WC con lavabo e lavatrice. Sopra il soggiorno e la cucina è un bagno e due camere da letto (una doppia e una doppia con letto king-size e aria condizionata) divise da una parete in legno Riscaldamento centralizzato. Pannello solare. Zanzariere nelle camere da letto Cafe 1/2 miglio, spiaggia più vicina 400yds, altre spiagge 1 miglio, negozi 2 miglia

Where do we begin? The pictures only tell part of the story! Katerina’s Penthouse has a view and setting that is breathtaking. But what sets this vacation location apart is the authentic Greek experience of homemade meals, sweets, and fresh off-the-vine foods. Anna takes care of your palate while the Mediterranean takes care of the rest. This was a DREAM vacation spot! And our hosts were nothing short of helpful! Katerina's Penthouse is a delightful place to slow down and enjoy nature. The terrace is perfect for having tea while listening to the gentle surf on the beach below, boat spotting, and losing track of time. Although the penthouse is located within minutes of a major highway and a busy port, the property itself is sheltered and very quiet. The beach is a short and easy 5-minute walk from the garden. We visited in mid April and found the water plenty warm for swimming. Inside the penthouse the rooms are spacious and well-lit, clean and tidy, yet cozy feeling with the rich wood and stone textures, traditional furniture and many soft places to land for reading a book. The garden is masterfully planted with kitchen herbs, well-tended old wisteria vines, roses, annuals, and olive and fruit trees in the groves beyond the garden. Inside and out it is obvious that Anna and Costas, the owners, have cared for the house and property with passion.Anna greeted us on our first morning with a breakfast tray including fresh eggs from her chickens and olive oil and candied grapefruit from the garden, then a basket of fresh lemons, oranges and pink grapefruit from the garden grove - juicy perfection! Over the course of our stay she and two granddaughters appeared each day to deliver homemade delicious dishes. We have never before been treated with such generous hospitality and are very grateful to Anna and her family for making us feel very much at home. Thank you!
